  • Patent number: 6111921
Abstract: An estimator of error rate is provided for reducing variations of an error pulse count value at burst signals of a received signal for digital mobile communications and thereby improving an accuracy of estimating an error rate. The estimator of error rate includes detectors for detecting that phase information derived from a baseband signal of an I channel (I signal) and a baseband signal of a Q channel (Q signal) is located in an error pulse generation area, detectors for detecting that envelope information of the I signal and the Q signal is located in the error pulse generation area, and a counter for detecting that the phase error signal and the envelope error signal are outputted and counting the signals. The estimator operates to estimate an error rate based on an error pulse count value at one period. The estimator operates to detect that the phase information and the envelope information are located in the error pulse generation area.

  • Patent number: 6104764
Abstract: A received signal obtained from an antenna is subjected to high-frequency amplification. The amplified signal is supplied to a first bandpass filter, which extracts only signals of all the channels of a communications system concerned while filtering out other radio signals. The extracted signals are frequency-converted by using a local oscillation frequency, and only a desired wave is passed by a second bandpass filter. The desired wave is supplied to a sample-and-hold circuit, which performs sampling according to the bandwidth-limiting sampling theorem. A resulting discrete signal is supplied to an I-axis-component and Q-axis-component separating circuits, where the polarity of sample values is inverted for every other clock pulse with respect to each of the I and Q axes to thereby effect Hilbert transform. Resulting two orthogonal components on a phase plane are supplied to a complex coefficient filter.

  • Patent number: 5276527
Abstract: A recording apparatus has a main body case housing a printing head. A recording-paper insertion slot is formed in the upper surface of the case and a recording paper discharge slot is formed in the side surface of the case. A pair of stop levers are mounted on the upper surface so as to be pivotable between standing and horizontal positions. A part of the upper surface is used as a continuous-recording-paper receiving portion on which the recording paper is placed and is led to the insertion slot. The standing stop levers contact the insertion-slot-side end of the recording paper to hold it in its predetermined posture or position and restricts the movement of the recording paper toward the insertion opening.
