  • Publication number: 20050248623
Abstract: In order to form a more homogenous heat generating resistive layer, the present invention provides a method of manufacturing a substrate for an ink jet recording head having a support which has an insulative layer on its surface, a pair of electrode layers disposed on the surface of the support, and a heat generating resistive layer which continuously covers the pair of electrode layers and a section between the pair of electrode layers. The method includes the step of forming an electrode layer on the support and the step of forming the pair of electrode layers by etching the electrode layer. In the step of forming the pair of electrode layers by etching the electrode layer, by etching a surface portion of the insulative layer positioned between the pair of insulative layers, a recess is formed in the surface portion of the insulative layer.

  • Patent number: 6622072
Abstract: To improve the maintainability of a vehicle by properly identifying a worn endless belt in a belt-type automatic transmission and informing a driver of the proper belt replacement interval. The belt replacement timing annunciator relies upon the radii of the endless belt wound around a drive pulley and around a driven pulley that vary to produce shifting change gear ratios. Various operating conditions and the actual change gear ratio for the specific operating condition are detected, and a comparison between a reference change gear ratio and the actual change gear ratio is made to determine if belt replacement is necessary. A timer device provides a predetermined observation interval for avoiding erroneous readings and a display is also provided for indicating the necessity of belt replacement.

  • Patent number: 6409315
Abstract: A substrate for an ink jet recording head is provided with a plurality of heat generating resistors for discharging ink. The wiring for applying the electric power supplied from outside to the plurality of heat generating resistors is divided into plural numbers, and each of the plurally divided wiring is arranged to provide substantially the same wiring resistive value from each of electrode pads arranged together therewith for receiving the supply of electric power from outside to each of the heat generating resistors. With the structure thus arranged, it is made possible to make the difference smaller in the voltage drop at the time of driving all the heat generating resisters simultaneously and driving only one of them, respectively, as well as to perform stabilized discharging of liquid for the formation of recorded images in good condition.
