  • Patent number: 8330027
Abstract: A lid structure of a keyboard instrument is provided, which improves a design degree of freedom of an instrument body. When a covered keyboard is changed from a close state to an open state, a front lid rotates relative to a back lid through a rotation shaft. A front guide slot and a rack built in the instrument body are used to guide backward movements of an engagement pin and a pinion. Since the rack is located posterior to the front guide slot, the back lid approximately maintains a pose to move backwards. A height of an accommodating space of the instrument body set to the open state is only required to be equal to a thickness of the back lid. Therefore, the accommodating space is reduced, an overall height of the instrument body is suppressed and a design degree of freedom of the instrument body is improved.

  • Patent number: 7911142
Abstract: Disclosed are an electron emission thin-film with improved secondary electron emission characteristics compared with conventional ones, a plasma display panel including the electron emission thin-film, and their manufacturing methods. Using a vacuum deposition system, a protective layer that is an MgO thin-film is formed on a dielectric layer formed on a front glass substrate. At the time of deposition, angles that lines linking the central point of a target material for the protective layer respectively with the central point and both ends points of the front glass substrate form with the front glass substrate are exclusively in a range of 30 to 80°. This enables at least some of MgO columnar crystals constituting the protective layer to have flat planes that are inclined with respect to the surface of the thin-film.

  • Publication number: 20040070575
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a plasma display panel that contributes to reduction of loss costs by reducing the number of plasma display panels that need to be disposed of after performance evaluation tests. In order to achieve the object, the plasma display panel of the present invention comprises a front glass substrate and a rear glass substrate opposing each other, an image display cell field and an evaluation cell field that are both provided between the front and the rear glass substrates and are each sealed with an airtight sealing layer independently of the other cell field. Performance evaluation tests of the plasma display panel are performed by driving the evaluation cell field.

  • Patent number: 6670757
Abstract: A plasma display panel (“PDP”) is provided with a protrusion lower than barrier ribs on an inner surface of a back plate substrate, and a phosphor layer formed on a rib surface within a unitary emission unit including a surface of the protrusion, thereby realizing the PDP of high brightness, high luminous efficiency and long operating life. Also, the PDP has a structure, in which a portion of the inner surface of the substrate is opened to a discharge space directly or through a protective layer, so as to improve power consumption remarkably. Further, the invention provides a production of the PDP with superior whiteness by way of controlling a balance of each color with shape of the respective protrusions. Moreover, an electrode can be formed easily and precisely on an upper part of the protrusion by providing a sloped surface for at least one end in a longitudinal direction of the protrusion.

  • Patent number: 6528952
Abstract: The PDP of the present invention has first, second and third electrodes. Intervals between the first and second electrode is 0.2 mm or more. A plurality of third electrodes are formed. Protrusions which are shorter than ribs are formed between the plurality of third electrodes. The plurality of third electrodes are connected, in part, to one another or at least connected in part, such that they form a network. In the driving method of the PDP of the present invention, a self-erasing discharge is generated, and subsequently when a potential difference between the electrodes is increased, using the self-erasing discharge as a trigger, discharge is generated and light is emitted.
