  • Publication number: 20090232622
Abstract: A punching processing unit punches holes in a paper bundle delivered from a preprocessing device. A bookbinding unit includes a cartridge for stocking a plurality of rings, and performs a ring binding by binding the paper bundle with the rings. A detecting unit detects an abnormality of a ring in the cartridge. A control unit exchanges a signal with the preprocessing unit each time when detection information obtained by the detecting unit changes. When any one of the rings is determined as abnormal and an execution of ring binding is set, the control unit inhibits the ring binding.

  • Publication number: 20090150310
Abstract: A communication system has: a portable communication device; and an in-vehicle communication device that communicates with the portable communication device through synchronous communication. The potable communication device transmits dummy signals simulating the vehicle information to the in-vehicle communication device in a first period. The in-vehicle communication device learns and records a first filter coefficient for filtering the dummy signals that are received in the first period and a second filter coefficient for filtering signals that are received from the sensors in a second period in which the portable communication device do not transmit the dummy signals, and the in-vehicle communication device calculates a third filter coefficient for removing noises on signals received from the sensors based on the first and second filter coefficients and then filters the received signals using the third filter coefficient.

  • Publication number: 20090129892
Abstract: A book-binding system includes an image forming apparatus, a binder, a detector, and an operation unit. The image forming apparatus forms images on a plurality of sheets. The binder is connectable to the image forming apparatus and binds with a binding member the plurality of sheets on which the images are formed by the image forming apparatus. The detector acquires information on the plurality of sheets fed from the image forming apparatus to the binder and information on consumables used to bind the plurality of sheets. The operation unit displays the information on the consumables in a selectable manner for input. The input from the operation unit allows selection of consumables depending on the number and type of sheets bound in the binder.

  • Patent number: 7458831
Abstract: Wobbling of a coil portion of a torsion spring for urging a rotor/cover to a “usage position” is prevented. An outlet cover of an outlet main body has plugholes for insertion of the plug-in terminals of an outlet plug. A rotor/cover is pivotally provided so that its position can be switched between a “non-usage position,” where the plugholes are closed off, and a “usage position,” where a plug can be connected to the outlet. A supporting axle portion is provided between the outlet cover and the rotor/cover that can support the coil portion of a torsion spring for urging the rotor/cover to the “non-usage position”. The torsional arms of the torsion spring are respectively engaged with the outlet main body and the rotor/cover by utilizing the relative pivoting of the rotor/cover with respect to the outlet main body.

  • Patent number: 7410158
Abstract: A copy machine achieves a reduction in power consumption when performing a saddle-stitching operation. An image forming unit forms visible images on recording sheets in accordance with image data stored in a memory device. A post-processing unit collects the recording media on an individual copy basis to prepare a bundle of the recording sheets, and performs a saddle-stitching process and a center-folding process on the bundle of the recording sheets. The post-processing unit ejects the processed recording sheets onto a predetermined eject tray. A system control part determines whether or not a total number of the recording sheets corresponding to the image data is within a limit number for the saddle-stitching process. When the total number of the recording sheets exceeds the limit number for the saddle-stitching process, the recording sheets are ejected onto the at least one eject tray other than a predetermined eject tray.

  • Publication number: 20080171526
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a noise removal apparatus, of a simplified configuration, capable of removing a noise. A band separation section 351 separates an inputted digital signal into a digital signal D1 and a digital signal D2 by using, as a boundary, the center frequency of a frequency band of the inputted digital signal. The phase adjustment section 352 adjusts a level and a frequency band of the digital signal D2, and outputs, as a removal signal R, a signal for which the level and the frequency band have been adjusted. The adder 353 adds the removal signal R to the digital signal D1, thereby enabling a signal obtained by removing an in-vehicle noise from the digital signal D1 to be outputted as a corrected signal A.
