  • Patent number: 8382122
Abstract: A gasket having a concentrically waved metal sheet, i.e., a core member, which has a PTFE sheet or an inorganic sheet of sealing-property layered and bonded on each of its opposite surfaces. The gasket makes it possible to ensure a stable sealing-property for a long period of time with a low to a high fastening-load applied. The metal sheet has valley portions, which were conventionally vacant gaps, and are filled with powdered sealing member to be embedded from the beginning. Therefore, the PTFE sheet or the inorganic sheet at the valley portions of the metal sheet that conventionally could not be compressed with a low fastening-load applied is compressed and even with the low fastening-load applied can secure a fastening surface-pressure over the entire surface.

  • Patent number: 8375693
Abstract: A yarn which is configured by using expanded graphite and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTEE) is provided while improving the yarn so that the expanded graphite functioning as a core member is not exposed and it can be simply produced. The yarn is formed by: forming a base member configured by enveloping an expanded graphite sheet member with a PTEE film, in a state where the PTEE film and the expanded graphite sheet member are aligned with each other in longitudinal direction; and twisting the base member. The base member has an approximately circular sectional shape, and is configured by enveloping the expanded graphite sheet member having a rounded sectional shape with the PTEE film which is rounded in a pipe-like shape.

  • Patent number: 8376370
Abstract: A gasket having a concentrically waved metal sheet, i.e., a core member, which has a sheet of sealing-property layered and bonded on each of its opposite surfaces. The gasket has an enhanced adaptability of the sheet material and enables the thinner sheet to be used and at the same time makes it possible to ensure a stable sealing-property for a long period of time with a low to a high fastening-load applied. The metal sheet has valley portions, which were conventionally vacant gaps, and are filled with powdered sealing member to be embedded from the beginning. Therefore, the sheet at the valley portions of the metal sheet that conventionally could not be compressed with a low fastening-load applied can be compressed and even with the low fastening-load applied can secure a fastening surface-pressure over the entire surface.

  • Patent number: 8014931
Abstract: A secondary air supply system includes a CPU, a first air supply pipe, a second air supply pipe, a first shut-off valve, and a second shut-off valve. First ends of the first air supply pipe and the second air supply pipe are connected to an air cleaner box and the other ends thereof are connected to an exhaust port. The CPU controls opening/closing of the first shut-off valve and the second shut-off valve based on a state of an engine. The first shut-off valve and the second shut-off valve are selectively opened by the CPU, so that air in the air cleaner box is supplied to the exhaust port through the first air supply pipe and/or the second air supply pipe.

  • Patent number: 7987664
Abstract: A secondary air supply system includes a CPU, a ROM, an air supply pipe, and an air amount adjusting valve. One end of the air supply pipe is connected to an air cleaner box and the other end is connected to an exhaust port. Secondary air in the air cleaner box is supplied to the exhaust port through the air supply pipe. An amount of the secondary air to be supplied from the air supply pipe to the exhaust port is adjusted by the air amount adjusting valve. A target air-fuel ratio depending on a state of the engine is stored in the ROM. The CPU controls the air amount adjusting valve based on the state of the engine so that an air-fuel ratio in the exhaust port is the target air-fuel ratio.

Abstract: A yarn which is configured by using expanded graphite and PTEE is provided while improving the yarn so that the expanded graphite functioning as a core member is not exposed and it can be simply produced. Therefore, a yarn is formed by: forming a base member 3 configured by enveloping an expanded graphite sheet member 1 with a PTEE film 2, in a state where the PTEE film 2 and the expanded graphite sheet member 1 are aligned with each other in longitudinal direction; and twisting the base member 3. The base member 3 has an approximately circular sectional shape, and is configured by enveloping the expanded graphite sheet member 1 having a rounded sectional shape with the PTEE film 2 which is rounded in a pipe-like shape.
