    Abstract: A pneumatic servo booster including a housing, a power piston unit partitioning the interior of the housing into front and rear chambers and having therein a first passage with one end opening to the front chamber and the other end opening to the interior of the power piston unit and a second passage with one end opening to the rear chamber and the other end opening to the interior of the power piston unit, and a valve mechanism provided in the interior of the power piston unit and being associated with an input rod to control the communication between first and second passages and between the second passage and another passage which is communicated with a source of a first reference pressure. A plurality of diversion channels are provided in at least one of the first and second passages to decrease the speed of the air flow in the passage and to rectify the air flow thereby suppressing noise.

    Abstract: A pneumatic booster includes a housing, a power piston and flexible diaphragm assembly partitioning the interior of the housing into two chambers, a poppet valve mechanism for selectively connecting or disconnecting communication between the two chambers and disconnecting or connecting communication between one of the chambers and a reference pressure, an input rod for actuating the poppet valve mechanism and an output rod connected to the power piston. The poppet valve mechanism includes a plunger connected to the inner end of the input rod, a valve member, a valve body having an axial bore therein for slidably receiving the plunger, and a restricting member mounted on the plunger for restricting the relative axial displacement of the plunger and the valve body. A resilient member is interposed between the restricting member and the valve body to avoid impacting abutment between the restricting member and the valve body.

    Abstract: A pneumatic servo booster includes a shell housing consisting of front and rear shells, a valve body slidably extending through the rear shell, a flexible diaphragm cooperating with the valve body for partitioning the interior of the shell housing into front and rear chambers, a plunger connected to an input rod and being slidably fitted in the valve body, a valve mechanism including a poppet valve and two valve seats which are formed respectively on the valve body and the plunger, and at least one rigid rod secured respectively to the front and rear shells and extending through the front and rear chambers. The valve mechanism communicates the two chambers when the poppet valve is spaced from the valve seat of the valve body and is seated on the valve seat of the plunger. A return movement restricting member is slidably mounted on the rigid rod and engages with the plunger, and resiliently restricts the return movement of the plunger at the end of the return stroke of the input rod.

    Abstract: A pneumatic servo booster includes a shell housing consisting of front and rear shells, a valve body slidably extending through an opening formed in the rear shell, a flexible diaphragm connected to the valve body and to the inner circumference of the shell housing to divide the interior of the housing into front and rear chambers, a valve mechanism incorporated in the valve body for controlling the pressure difference between the two chambers, and at least one reinforcing rod extending between front and rear shells and through the two chambers. The valve mechanism comprises a plunger slidably received in the valve body and connected to an input rod, a valve seat formed on the valve body, another valve seat formed on the plunger, and a poppet valve cooperating with the valve seats. A return movement restricting member is slidably mounted on the reinforcing rod and restricts the return movement of the plunger, thereby establishing the rearmost position of the plunger.

    Abstract: A high frequency filter for frequencies higher than the VHF band comprising of a closed conductive housing (53), a pair of input and/or output means (54) like an antenna provided at both the extreme ends (53-5, 53-6) of said housing (53), a plurality of resonators (51-1 through 51-5, and 51a-1 through 51a-5) arranged on a straight line between said antennas (54), each of said resonators having an elongated inner conductor (51a-1 through 51a-5) with a circular cross section, and an elongated rectangular dielectric body (51-1 through 51-5) surrounding said inner conductor, one end of each of said resonators being fixed at the single plane (53-1) of the housing (53) and the other end of each of said resonators being free standing. The length of said inner conductor and the dielectric body is substantially 1/4 wavelength, and the duration (52-1 through 52-4 ) between two resonators is determined according to the specified coupling coefficient for the desired characteristics of the filter.

    Abstract: A servo booster including a piston plate for receiving a differential pressure produced across two chambers which are defined in a shell casing, a cylindrical valve body having a valve mechanism therein for controlling the pressure across the two chambers, an aperture and a head portion formed respectively at the center portion of the piston plate and at an end portion of the valve body and being engageable with each other at a predetermined angular position, and the relative movement of the valve body and the piston plate in the direction of the axis of the servo booster being prevented by rotating the head portion through a predetermined angle in the aperture, wherein the improvement comprises a rotation preventing member rigidly mounted on the piston plate and having one portion thereof in fitting engagement with the valve body to prevent the relative rotation of the valve body and the piston plate.

A return spring for urging the power piston in the return direction acts through the reaction lever on the power piston, whereby the reaction force is not transmitted to the input rod until the force transmitted to the output rod exceeds a predetermined value.
