Patent number: 6706010Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a balloon catheter in which the inner tube is prevented from slackening after balloon inflation, improving the rewrapping of the balloon, discontinuity in the rigidity of the joined portions of the outer tube and the balloon is lessened, which prevents breakage, and the catheter advances through blood vessels better and passes more easily through narrow segments, preventing the catheter from “accordioning” and enhancing insertion force transmission. The balloon catheter pertaining to the present invention has a catheter shaft (1) with a double-tube structure comprising an outer tube (4) and an inner tube (5), and a balloon (3) disposed at the distal end portion of this catheter shaft (1).Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 2000Date of Patent: March 16, 2004Assignee: Kaneka CorporationInventors: Shogo Miki, Kohei Fukaya, Takuji Nishide, Masato Hashiba, Ryoji Nakano, Hiromi Maeda

Patent number: 6613066Abstract: A balloon catheter 1 is configured so as to comprise a catheter shaft 2 formed by joining a proximal-side tubular member 3 and a distal-side tubular member 4, an adapter member 6 connected to the base end of the catheter shaft 2, and a balloon 5 joined to the distal end of the catheter shaft 2. A metal coiled elastic member 10 is deployed in the internal space in the adapter member 6, so that it can move toward the distal end. This coiled elastic body 10 abuts on a ring-shaped wall part 11a formed on the outer circumferential surface of the base end of an elastic force transmitting member 11 and supports the elastic force transmitting member 11 to the distal side. The leading end of a linear member 12 that is one of the components of the elastic force transmitting member 11 reaches to an internal space 5f in the balloon and is bonded to the outer circumferential surface of a guide wire passing tube 7.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2001Date of Patent: September 2, 2003Assignee: Kaneka CorporationInventors: Kohei Fukaya, Hiromi Maeda, Takuji Nishide, Shogo Miki, Ryoji Nakano, Masato Hashiba

Publication number: 20020041835Abstract: A purifier to purify exhaust gas includes a case, a plurality of metal sheets disposed in the case, a catalyst held to each of the metal sheets, partition plates disposed between the respective metal sheets, a metallic pipe disposed piercing through the metal sheets, and a catalyst heater disposed in the metallic pipe. The plurality of metal sheets are arranged at predetermined intervals, and each of the metal sheets has at least one through-hole. The partition plates serve to partition the spaces between the respective metal sheets. The exhaust gas is circulated through the spaces between the respective metal sheets and then passes through the through-holes and is exhausted from the outlet of the case. In this way, it is possible to increase the number of metal sheets without increase of the pressure loss and to enlarge the outer diameter of same. As a result, the exhaust gas purifying capacity will be improved.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 20, 2001Publication date: April 11, 2002Inventors: Motomichi Mishima, Mitsuyasu Ogawa, Yoshiyuki Higashiyama, Shigehiko Shimomura, Tadashi Matsuyo, Seiichi Ueno, Hiromi Maeda, Masahiro Kimura

Patent number: 5968145Abstract: A data processing unit capable of solving a conventional problem in that a CPU cannot acquire the right of using a bus as long as a DMAC (Direct Memory Access Controller) has that right, and hence the operating ratio of the CPU reduces. A CPU bus is kept disconnected from the DMAC bus as long as the CPU disables the access request to a memory connected to the DMAC bus, and is connected to a DMAC bus in response to the access request unless the DMAC has the right of using a DMAC bus.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 1997Date of Patent: October 19, 1999Assignee: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hiromi Maeda, Masayuki Hata

Patent number: 5835736Abstract: A serial data transmission unit which can freely set a holding interval T of the final bit of transmitted data. It includes a holding interval decision portion for determining the holding interval T in accordance with a predetermined integer multiple of the period of a bus clock signal. It can solve a problem of a conventional system in that the dividing value of the bus clock set in a controller must undergo a wide range adjustment in accordance with one of external slaves which requires the longest holding interval when the holding intervals of data differ among the external slaves.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 1997Date of Patent: November 10, 1998Assignee: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hiromi Maeda, Katsunori Suzuki
