  • Patent number: 5812757
Abstract: A fault recovery process of a computer is provided for removing a fault from the system as soon as possible, minimizing the secondary fault and improving the availability of the system. In a reliable computer, which includes a system bus, a main memory connected to the system bus, and at least one processing board connected to the system bus, at least one processing board executes the same instructions by n (n>=3) processing units having cache memories respectively. When one of the processing units of the processing board becomes faulty, the other processing units continue executing the processes, which are being executed by the faulty processing board, and then, the processes to be registered in the faulty processing board, are succeeded by other processing boards.

  • Patent number: 5394507
Abstract: A heated tube with a electric heater comprising a braid structure of bare strands of resistance wire connected in an arrangement to form a number of resistance circuits in parallel in a zone formed between exposed core portions of an electrical feeder line. The electric heater is braided directly on a tube, or is braided in a flat shape and then wound in a large spiral around a tube and a feeder line with cores having exposed portions arranged along the tube. When power is supplied to the feeder line, the electric heater generates heat at each zone and a fluid flowing through the heated tube is uniformly heated.

  • Patent number: 5245161
Abstract: An electric heater comprises a braid construction of a plurality of strands having electric resistance, thereby the strands are heated due to a Joule heat when a current flows therethrough. The strands are braided with a core wire of tube or without cores. These strands are placed in two core wires dielectrically insulated, which core wires have exposed portions formed therein in a shape of semi-circle or arc-like at a regular interval mutually. The core wires are covered with an insulator laid thereon and an electric heating element is wound around the insulator covering in a large spiral. A C-shaped fixing piece made of metal is used to be adapted on the exposed portions of the core wires. Then the opening of the C shape of the fixing piece is pressed toward each other to close it. Claws, formed on the inner face of the fixing piece, grip firmly the strands of the heater element to the core wires.

  • Patent number: 5079313
Abstract: Polymer dispersing agent comprising a graft polymer prepared by graft-polymerizing an organopolysiloxane having a mercapto group on the side chain with at least one acrylic or methacrylic monomer, and epoxy resin composition comprising epoxy resin, silicone resin and the above polymer dispersing agent. The polymer dispersing agent has an excellent effect for dispersing the silicone resin into the epoxy resin, and thereby the epoxy resin composition thus prepared has high dispersion stability and exhibits improved impact resistance and relaxation of residual internal stress and is useful as a sealing agent for IC, a coating agent, a paint composition, an adhesive, and a prepreg.

  • Patent number: 4918114
Abstract: A process for preparing a telechelic vinyl resin of a low molecular weight having alkoxysilylalkyl thioether groups at both termini, which comprises subjecting 1 to 20 parts by weight of one or more of a disulfide compound, 0.01 to 1 part by weight of one or more of a tetrasulfide compound, and 100 parts by weight of a vinyl monomer to photopolymerization reaction, a part of the vinyl monomer being optionally substituted with a monomer having an alkoxysilyl group, and the resin prepared by said process. The resin of the present invention provides a crosslinkable resin having an excellent physical strength after curing and can be used for paints, adhesives, sealants, pressure-sensitive adhesives and the like.
