  • Patent number: 6147833
Abstract: A recording and/or reproducing apparatus for a magnetic tape includes a supply side reel gear, a takeup side reel gear, a tape guide drum about which the magnetic tape pulled out from a tape cassette is wound, a tape loading mechanism for pulling out the magnetic tape from the tape cassette and for placing it on the tape guide drum by way of tape loading and for housing it in the tape cassette by way of tape unloading, and a switching mechanism for switching the running direction of the magnetic tape pulled out from the tape cassette. This switching mechanism includes a counter gear positioned between the supply side reel gear and the takeup side reel gear during loading of the magnetic tape by the tape loading mechanism, and controls the running direction of the magnetic tape by the counter gear selectively meshing with the supply side reel gear or the takeup side reel gear after completion of the loading of the magnetic tape.

  • Patent number: 6033616
Abstract: A process of producing a molded synthetic resin article with a powder embedded in a surface thereof to form a finished surface. The process includes brushing an inner wall of a mold at a desired area thereof with a brush carrying a powder to be embedded in the surface of the article. The brushing action simultaneously provides an electrostatic charge on the inner wall of the mold for attracting and holding the powder thereon, and deposits the powder in an evenly distributed manner onto the desired area. A synthetic resin is fed into the mold. The synthetic resin is molded such that the synthetic resin is pressed against the desired area of the inner wall of the mold, flowing around the powder held thereon such that the powder is at least partially embedded in the synthetic resin. The process provides a uniform non-strippable firm surface of the powder on a surface of the resulting article.

  • Patent number: 4487560
Abstract: In a scroll fluid compressor including orbiting and stationary scroll members having end plates and wraps in vortical form in upstanding positions on the end plates meshing with each other to define therebetween spaces for compressing a fluid introduced through an inlet line and discharging the compressed fluid through an outlet line, flat plates in vortical form having surface finishes of higher precision than the end plates are placed in valleys between the outer wraps and the inner wraps of the scroll members to enable the wrap of the orbiting scroll member to move in orbiting movement while having the forward ends of the wraps in sliding contact with the surfaces of the flat plates in vortical form.
