  • Patent number: 4780775
Abstract: A mode setting arrangement for use in a video tape recorder includes a cam arrangement defined by first and second cams provided integrally and mounted on an axle and a spiral guide groove formed in said cam arrangement with the center of the spiral being at the center of the axle. A first lever is provided operatively in association with the first cam for moving a pinch roller, a second lever is provided operatively in association with the second cam for effecting the transmital of driving force to a reel for winding magnetic tape, and arm mechanisms are provided operatively in association with the spiral guide groove for effecting the extraction of magnetic tape from a cassette and extending the magnetic tape around a drum.

  • Patent number: 4774608
Abstract: A front loading apparatus adapted for use in a disc drive unit comprises an outer holder movable to approach or to depart from a central spindle and an inner holder contained in the outer holder and allowed to move toward up and down in the outer holder by a gap formed between the holders, so that a disc cartridge is accurately set by a setting device at a location for storing and reproducing signals in the apparatus. The setting device comprises push pin for pressing the center hub of the disc cartridge toward the central spindle at the stage when the outer holder approaches to the nearest with respect to the central spindle and for releasing the pressing force from the center hub when the outer holder departs substantially from the central spindle.

  • Patent number: 4439027
Abstract: A rear projection apparatus has a cabinet provided with a screen attaching portion, a rear projection screen attached to the screen attaching portion, an image projector for projecting an image onto the rear projecting screen from its back side, and a convex lens disposed at the back side of the rear projection screen, wherein the optical axis of the convex lens is shifted from its mechanical or dimensional center, and the convex lens is removably mounted to the rear projection screen so that the orientation of the lens relative to the screen can be altered whereby the light axis of the image from the rear projection screen is deflected to a predetermined direction by altering the orientation of the convex lens having the shifted optical axis in relation to the screen. The screen attaching portion of the cabinet permits altering the orientation of the lens and, thus, the direction in which the projected image is deflected, without increasing the size of the cabinet.

  • Patent number: 4257926
Abstract: A method is disclosed for adhering rubber and reinforcing materials simultaneously with vulcanization, without defects such as fume and bloom phenomena of formaldehyde-acceptors, deliquescence and blocking, which is characterized in the use of a vulcanizable rubber composition containing an improved co-polycondensate resin which is prepared by condensing (A) a resol type pre-polycondensate prepared by at least one phenol and formaldehyde or acetaldehyde in the presence of an alkaline catalyst, and (B) resorcinol, m-aminophenol or the like, while distilling off water present in the reaction system, and then solidifying the reaction mixture.
