  • Publication number: 20040172602
Abstract: The present invention provides increased processing efficiency for service of performing predetermined processes on document data through cooperation among the processes over a network. If an error exists during document input in an input plug-in element before a start of rule-based processing, when documents are captured from the input plug-in element, contents of the error are stored in an error history memory, and documents normally inputted are subjected to processing of processing plug-in and output plug-in elements according to the rule. Also when an error occurs during the rule-based processing, the contents of the error are stored in the error history memory, and the rule-based processing is continued for normal documents. Error histories are referred to, and if an error exists, the error contents are reported on the basis of the error histories.

  • Patent number: 5950213
Abstract: An input sheet system for reading an input sheet on which an instruction from a user is described, acquiring the instruction from the user on the basis of the read result, and performing information processing according to the instruction. When a form creator creates the appearance of a form by arranging symbols of software components registered on a component library on a form image, a form editor automatically creates a form document describing the location relationship of the symbols. When an input sheet with user's instructions filled in is read into the system, the system determines the processing order of the software components corresponding to the symbols on the basis of the location relationship of the symbols described on the form document and carries out the processing in this order.

  • Patent number: 5887088
Abstract: A novel input device and for an information processing system for carrying out a process on the basis of input data, the input device is disclosed. In the input device, the output unit develops instructive-document form information and outputs an instructive document to which an entry is not yet made by a user. The extracting unit extracts analysis information for analyzing an instructive document to which an entry has been made by the user from the instructive-document form information. The storing unit stores the extracted analysis information. The analyzing unit analyzes the information on the received instructive document after a user makes an entry to thereto while referring to the analysis information. With such an arrangement, the input device receives the information on the instructive document having entries made thereto, and inputs information obtained by the process of analyzing the received information to the information processing system.

  • Patent number: 5758292
Abstract: A cordless telephone includes at least one child unit and a mother unit. The mother unit transmits and receives a radio signal to and from the child unit. The mother unit includes first and second receiver circuits, a transmitter circuit, and a muting circuit. The first receiver circuit receives an UP-channel signal from the child unit and transmits the received signal to a telephone line. The transmitter circuit receives the signal transmitted via the telephone line from the counter party, and converts the signal received from the counter party into a DOWN-channel signal which will then be transmitted to the child unit. The second receiver circuit receives a broadcasting radio signal. The muting circuit mutes the output signal from the second receiver circuit. The muting circuit mutes the output signal derived from the second receiver circuit when either the UP-channel signal, or the DOWN-channel signal may give spurious interference to the second receiver circuit.

The ink remain detector has ink inflow and outflow ports and an ink chamber communicating therewith; at least a portion of a wall of the chamber is formed of a flexible film member. A separation of the flexible film member is detected by a detector means, responsive to a pressure decrease in the ink chamber. The flexible film member is biased so that it is not apart from the detector means. The displacement of the flexible film is limited so that the film is not displaced over a predetermined amount, and is limited when enough ink flows from the inflow port to the outflow port in the ink chamber.

  • Patent number: 5623290
Abstract: A recording apparatus includes a recording head which is scanned, a supply system containing an amount of ink and a detector for the residual ink quantity in the supply system. The residual ink quantity is detected by detecting deviation of a deviation member; this deviation occurs upon a change in pressure in an ink supply path in the ink supply system. The detection is performed after a predetermined time delay with respect to a signal relating to a change of scan direction or with respect to operation of a pump.
