  • Patent number: 7218990
Abstract: A barrel has an injection nozzle at the forward end, and an injection screw inside, and heaters in the outer circumference. The barrel injects the molten resin from the injection nozzle at the forward end by the rotation of the injection screw. In the barrel, the temperatures of each parts are controlled by a temperature control section. A controller sets a shift minus temperature to uniformly lower the temperature of the parts, and a shift absolute temperature to lower the temperatures of the parts to a predetermined temperature. An operation panel section selects the shift minus temperature or shift absolute temperature to lower the temperatures of the parts. The temperature control section lowers the temperatures of the parts of the barrel by using the temperature selected when the injection molding machine is temporarily stopped.

  • Patent number: 6914537
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method of monitoring operation data for quality control with a little possibility that a nondefective product is mistakenly determined as a defective product even if the operation data fluctuates in a large waviness curve. Every time an operation data piece for quality control is obtained, a moving average of the predetermined number of data pieces lately obtained is calculated. When the deviation of a data piece from the moving average exceeds the tolerance limit, an alarm is generated. By employing the method of the present invention for monitoring operation data such as charging time, injection time and the amount of cushion in an injection-molding machine, the accuracy of determination as to a defective or nondefective can be improved.

  • Patent number: 6835337
Abstract: In the filling step, the forward movement speed of the screw is controlled in accordance with a predetermined speed pattern until the screw reaches a deceleration initiation point, LS4B. After the screw reaches LS4B, a deceleration step is started. In the deceleration step, the forward movement speed of the screw is controlled in a feedback manner such that the internal pressure of the mold reaches a predetermined target pressure. When the screw reaches a pressure holding initiation point, LS4 (or pressure holding initiation time, TR2), the pressure holding step is started. In the pressure holding step, the target pressure, which is a function of time, is changed with time in accordance with a program. When the operation goes to the pressure holding step, the set of PID coefficients within the feedback control loop are replaced by different set of PID coefficients.

  • Patent number: 6615637
Abstract: A screw is incorporated into a heating barrel. A ball screw is connected to a rear end portion of the screw through a load cell, and a servomotor for injection is connected to the ball screw. First, the heating barrel is retreated and separated from a mold, and the screw is moved to the half stroke position. After the screw is advanced for a preset period of time, the servomotor is stopped by automatic decompression to detect an output of the load cell. Similarly, after the screw is retreated for a preset period of time, the servomotor is stopped by automatic decompression to detect an output of the load cell. An average of outputs of the load cell after the screw advances and retreats is calculated and considered to be an output of the load cell under no-load conditions, thereby performing zero adjustment of the load cell.

  • Publication number: 20030145975
Abstract: A toggle mechanism is supported at the front face of the housing and a forward end of the toggle mechanism is connected to a back face of the movable platen. Upon the closing and opening of dies, the toggle mechanism is stretched and contracted to move the movable platen forward and backward along the tie bars. An automatic control device calculates, before the dies are mounted, from a die thickness input and the kind of the dies input, such a stop position for the link housing as impart a target value to the stretching/contraction amount that the toggle mechanism has when the dies are in closed state, and calculates, from the kind of the dies input, an appropriate contraction amount greater than the target value, and the automatic controlling device moves the link housing to the stop position calculated and the toggle mechanism by the appropriate contraction amount calculated.

  • Patent number: 6014683
Abstract: An arithmetic operation system is provided, which is capable of floating-point arithmetic operation at high speed using minimal hardware devices. The position of an actual point of a first operand is detected by an actual point detector, resulting in a position data and a bit number data according to the detected position. A third operand having no actual point is generated by shifting the first operand having the actual point by the first shifter according to the bit number data. The second and third operands, both of which have no actual point, are arithmetically operated by an integer arithmetic operator to output a first operation result. The first operation result is rounded by a rounder according to the position data to output a second operation result. The second operation result having the actual position is generated by shifting the second operation result thus rounded to right by a second shifter according to the bit number data.
