  • Patent number: 9082437
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a head suspension includes a punching process, a positioning process, and an affixing process. An objective part on the head suspension to which a damper 73 is affixed includes a discontinuous section 72. The punching process punches a damper material into the damper 73 whose shape corresponds to the shape of the objective part excluding the discontinuous section 72. The positioning process positions the damper 73 to the objective part so that the damper 73 avoids and surrounds the discontinuous section 72, and the affixing process affixes the damper 73 to the objective part. The method secures a uniform damping effect among manufactured head suspensions and improves the yield of dampers and head suspensions without deteriorating the functions and performances of the head suspensions.

  • Patent number: 8792959
Abstract: A biological information detection device has a device main body and a biological signal detection portion formed integrally with the device main body. The detection portion has at least one electrode for contacting a biological surface of a human body. A mounting portion mounts the main body and the detection portion to a human body without the mounting portion being directly attached to the detection portion. The main body and the detection portion are integrally connected by a mechanical connection portion that mechanically connects the main body and the detection portion to each other, and by an electrical connection portion that electrically connects the main body and the electrode of the detection portion to each other. The mechanical connection portion and the electrical connection portion are positioned relative one another so as not to be arranged alongside a load direction of an external force acting on the mechanical connection portion.

  • Patent number: 7425896
Abstract: A tag testing device uses an infrared camera to take an image of a plurality of radio frequency identification tags, compares the image with a stored standard tag pattern image storage, and detects defective tags based on the comparison. A radio wave transceiver bulk reads the tags using anti-collision, a tag response counter counts a number of tag responses, and a defective tag detector compares a number of heat emitting tags based upon the image processing with a number of tag responses counted by the tag response counter. If the number of heat emitting tags does not match a number of responsive tags, a number of the tags tested are changed by partially shielding the tags and the radio wave transceiver repeatedly bulk reads the tags using the anti-collision function while a shielding range is gradually changed, thereby narrowing down other possible defective but heat emitting tags.
