  • Publication number: 20060220858
Abstract: A tag testing device uses an infrared camera to take an image of a plurality of radio frequency identification tags, compares the image with a stored standard tag pattern image storage, and detects defective tags based on the comparison. A radio wave transceiver bulk reads the tags using anti-collision, a tag response counter counts a number of tag responses, and a defective tag detector compares a number of heat emitting tags based upon the image processing with a number of tag responses counted by the tag response counter. If the number of heat emitting tags does not match a number of responsive tags, a number of the tags tested are changed by partially shielding the tags and the radio wave transceiver repeatedly bulk reads the tags using the anti-collision function while a shielding range is gradually changed, thereby narrowing down other possible defective but heat emitting tags.

  • Patent number: 6796708
Abstract: A wrist mountable electronic apparatus has a strap member having a pair of strap portions. Each of the strap portions has an end disposed in spaced-apart relation to the other so that inner peripheral surfaces of the ends of the strap portions form a hole having a first open end and a second open end opposite the first open end. Each of the inner peripheral surfaces of the strap portions has a stepped portion. A portable electronic apparatus is disposed in the hole of the strap member. A glass member is supported on the stepped portion of each of the strap portions for closing the first open end of the hole. A connecting structure free of adhesive connects the glass member to each of the strap portions. A waterproof member is disposed directly between only the glass member and the strap member for providing a watertight seal therebetween. A rear cover covers the second open end of the hole.

  • Patent number: 6338041
Abstract: A passenger management system having a boarding processing system with a plurality of tag readers and speakers connected to an automatic broadcasting unit each located in a plurality of areas into which a premises of an airport is divided. If there is found a remarked boarding card with which the check-in has been completed at a checking counter but boarding has not been confirmed, the tag readers are successively actuated from a gate counter and an area among said plurality of areas in which said remarked boarding card is present is determined based on the signal received by said tag readers. In such a way, remarked boarding cards, namely not-boarded passengers are managed for each area.
