  • Publication number: 20050110389
Abstract: Inside an outer frame, which is interposed at between opposedly facing peripheries between a back substrate and a front substrate, there is an inner frame which fixes both end portions of plate member control electrodes, which are constituted of a large number of parallel strip-like electrode elements. By integrally forming the plate member control electrodes such that the plate member control electrodes are fixed to both end portions of a display region, a single part is formed. Further, a getter chamber is formed between the outer frame and the inner frame and getters are accommodated in the getter chamber. Due to such a constitution, the operability and yield rate of products at the time of assembling can be enhanced. Further, it is possible to hold a desired degree of vacuum in the space between the substrates for a long time.

  • Publication number: 20040189264
Abstract: An adder 11 outputs a signal VS indicating a value of (Vr−Vo), and a multiplier 12 outputs a control signal GS indicating a value of G(Vr−Vo) on the basis of the signal VS. An adder 13 outputs a signal HS on the basis of the control signal GS and a signal FS outputted from an operation circuit 30, and a PWM signal generating circuit 20 generates a PWM signal KS on the basis of the signal HS and a ramp signal RS outputted from a ramp signal circuit 15, and outputs this signal KS to a switching power supply. A counter 14 counts an on time of the PWM signal KS and retains a count value at a time of receiving a sample signal SMP. The operation circuit 30 has a high-pass filter 31 and an integrator 32, performs an operation based on a signal DS indicating the count value outputted from the counter 14, and outputs the signal FS after the operation.

  • Publication number: 20040189266
Abstract: A selector sets respective phases of pulse driving signals in reverse when a proportion signal or integration signal does not exceed a threshold. Shifting the respective phases of the pulse driving signals from each other lowers the ripple voltage. When the load current increases drastically, the output voltage Vo tends to decrease remarkably because of the shortage of capacity in the power supply. In this case, when the proportion signal or integration signal exceeds its corresponding threshold, a phase control unit causes the pulse driving signals to synchronize their phases, i.e., the selector supplies the same ramp wave to the comparators, so that respective output voltages supplied from the DC voltage converter circuits attain the same phase, thereby restraining the output voltage supplied to the load from decreasing remarkably.

  • Publication number: 20040150638
Abstract: This invention provides an apparatus and the like, which render an object from a predetermined view direction by a method using microfacet billboarding using 2D images obtained by photographing an object to be rendered from a plurality of photographing directions, and a depth image of the object to be rendered. • Publication number: 20040021624
Abstract: The present invention can suppress rupture of distance holding members, a back substrate or a front substrate attributed to atmospheric pressure. In a display device of the present invention, between the back substrate having cathode lines and plate-member control electrodes and the front substrate, a large number of distance holding members which hold a distance between the substrates are mounted in an erected manner. At portions where the distance holding members are brought into contact with the back substrate and/or the front substrate, a buffering/fixing material which is constituted of a buffering material having high resiliency and an adhesive is interposed for dispersing the atmospheric pressure applied from the back substrate and the front substrate substantially uniformly. Further, the distance holding members are fixed between the back substrate and the front substrate by a heat treatment and pressurizing step.
