  • Patent number: 4753831
Abstract: A cardboard container with anti-slip property is disclosed. It has a synthetic resin layer formed of thermoplastic synthetic resin fine hollow particles of 5 to 50 microns in diameter containing one or more of an inert gas, an active gas, a nonvolatile liquid and a volatile liquid coupled by a synthetic resin component exhibiting an action of a binder. The synthetic resin layer is formed on the outer surface of at least one of bottom and upper walls of the container on the entire surface or a portion of the surface as a spot, a lattice or a stripe. Thus, particular means are not necessary to handle the cardboard container such as packing with a film or binding with bands after stacking a plurality of containers. The anti-slipping effect remains even after the stacked containers are sorted and transferred.

  • Patent number: 4747812
Abstract: A V-ribbed belt having a plurality of ribs on a belt base along the lengthwise direction of belt and a method of manufacturing such V-ribbed belt. The belt according to the present invention is used for driving of driers, auxiliary machines for motor cars, washing machines, etc. Ribs of the belt are formed solely of rubber and are provided with a surface layer comprising a non-woven fabric at the outer surface thereof. The thickness and the weight per unit area of the non-woven fabric are in the range of between 0.01 and 0.3 mm and between 3 and 100 g/m.sup.2 respectively. The non-woven fabric can contain a coefficient of friction reducing agent, where necessary.

  • Patent number: 4710155
Abstract: This belt is used as power transmission belt, timing belt and transportation belt. It has a tension section, a compression section and a load carrier layer disposed between said two sections. The load carrier of the load carrier layer is composed of polyethyleneterephthalate filament which has at least 85 mol % ethyleneterephthalate as repeated unit and is at least 0.8 in ultimate viscosity, less than 0.190 in bifringence rate, less than 60 in the degree of orientation of amorphous portion and less than 15 equivalent/10.sup.6 g in terminal carboxyl group content, and said load carrier, when heated for 30 minutes at 150.degree. C. after an adhesive treatment and a heat treatment, is less than 5% in shrinkage percentage at dry heating and at least 6 g/denier in strength and less than 4% in elongation at a load of 2 g/denier.

  • Patent number: 4708463
Abstract: Improvement in the device for enlarging and projecting a microfilm image is provided. The improvement is directed to an optical system acting as a magnification varying means and image rotation means as a united system. The optical system comprises a set of reflectors including three or more odd number of reflectors, magnification varying means for changing the length of the light path through the system thereby to vary the magnification of enlargement, and an image rotation means for rotation said set of reflectors to rotate the light delivering the enlarged image, said magnification varying means and said image rotation means being co-operatively associated with each other such that the light axis of the light getting out of the optical system is aligned with the light incident to the system.

  • Patent number: 4624554
Abstract: A charging and exposing head for use in an electrophotographic apparatus includes a charging and exposing chamber having a light transmission window for carrying out charging and exposing operation on an electrophotosensitive member moving along the light transmission window. In the charging and exposing head, a retaining member presses the electrophotosensitve member against the light transmission window to maintain the flatness of the electrophotosensitive member, and cooling air is supplied from a cooling gas supply pipe toward the electrophotosensitive member brought opposite to the light transmission window to prevent thermal deformation of the electrophotosensitive member.

  • Patent number: 4577951
Abstract: A processing solution tank specifically adapted for an office-type microfilm processing apparatus in which the operation of changing the processing solutions is eased. The tank is divided into two sections, each of which is composed of plural processing vessels. The two sections are joined together by a hinge so that they can be folded together. A carrying handle is fitted to the main body of each of the two sections, and the two handles come together when the tank is folded. The height of the handles is such as to prevent the processing solutions in the two sections from mixing with one another.

  • Patent number: 4522614
Abstract: An automatic tension maintaining power transmission belt, a method of making the same and a method for maintaining tension in a rubber belt transmission. The belt is made by embedding polyester fiber cord employing a polyester of high relative viscosity and after being subjected to a hot stretching process as a tensile member in rubber forming the belt. The thermal contraction force of the polyester cord is to be substantially maintained by avoiding shrinkage of the belt during vulcanization. The belt of the present invention is characterized by exhibiting shrinkage of said polyester fiber cords through thermal contractive forces caused by frictional heat generated by slippage of the belt upon lowering of belt tension during belt running. The minimum tension necessary for transmission of power is recovered, the slippage is eliminated for a while and proper tension is maintained. Such automatic action repeats when it becomes needed again.
