  • Publication number: 20120062047
Abstract: A linear actuator includes a linear actuator body (2), a casing (3) for housing the linear actuator body (2), and insulating oil (L) that fills the casing (3) with a coil (44) of the linear actuator body (2) submerged therein. In such a configuration, heat generated by the coil (44) is quickly released to the oil (L) and is then conducted to the casing (3). The oil (L) fully spreads into gaps in the coil (44), of course. Therefore, heat is released very efficiently. Thus, by improving the heat-releasing characteristic, a linear actuator having a reduced size and a reduced weight is provided.

  • Publication number: 20110213796
Abstract: A dialogical information search system is realized by comprehensively utilizing different kinds of ontologies: a library classification system and a Wikipedia category. A new information search infrastructure is thus realized by comprehensively utilizing the different ontologies of library classification system and Wikipedia category. By virtue of this, a new information search paradigm can be promoted to the world: an in-depth search is realized by utilizing a library with the Web as a clue. This, as a result, contributes to improving literacy of the whole society, and conduces to rediscovering the significance of existence of libraries and further to realizing electronic libraries.

  • Publication number: 20110193590
Abstract: To provide a semiconductor device including a first replica buffer connected to a calibration terminal, an impedance adjusting circuit that changes an impedance of the first replica buffer according to a comparison result between a potential of the terminal and a reference potential, and an impedance adjusting circuit that changes an impedance of a third replica buffer according to a comparison result between a potential of a connection node of a second replica buffer and the third replica buffer and a potential of the terminal. According to the present invention, both impedances of the first and third replica buffers are adjusted based on the potential of the terminal, and therefore an adjustment error of one of the replica buffers is not superimposed with an adjustment error of the other replica buffer.
