  • Patent number: 9418557
Abstract: A fleet operation management system for a vehicle traveling on a predetermined travel route comprises: a storage unit (128, 142) which stores travel route information including the position, height and surface resistance of the vehicle's travel route; a speed prediction unit (102) which predicts future change in the speed of the vehicle coasting on the travel route based on the current position, the current speed, and the travel route information; and an operation timing calculation unit (104) which judges which of acceleration, deceleration and coasting should be performed at the current position based on the change in the coasting speed so that the vehicle speed after the lapse of a predetermined time will be within a predetermined range. This configuration makes it possible to properly judge which of the acceleration, the deceleration and the coasting should be performed on the vehicle's travel route from the viewpoint of fuel-efficient operation.

  • Publication number: 20150206104
Abstract: The maintenance management device 3 includes an error status diagnosis unit 11, a grace period estimation unit 14, a maintenance cost estimation unit 15, and a screen display unit 17. When the error status diagnosis unit 11 has diagnosed the occurrence of an anomaly, the grace period estimation unit 14 estimates a first grace period leading up to the occurrence of a failure. The maintenance cost estimation unit 15 estimates the cost of corrective maintenance incurred when the failure occurs after the elapse of the first grace period. The screen display unit 17 displays a combination of the first grace period and the cost of corrective maintenance. Alternatively, the grace period estimation unit 14 estimates a second grace period over which preventive maintenance may be postponed without a failure.

  • Patent number: 8862390
Abstract: To advance a dump truck quickly and smoothly to a position where target loading work will be performed relative to an excavating machine, the dump truck is placed in loading target position relative to the excavating machine. Geographic position is detected from GPS satellites of a GPS receiver of the dump truck. The position and direction of the geographic position is transmitted to the excavating machine as a target position image. The target position image and an approach route leading to the position are displayed on a dump truck display when the truck thereafter approaches the position. The dump truck thereafter approaches the position, and the truck is driven so that a current position image advances along the approach route to the target position image, whereby the dump truck is placed in the set loading image target position.

  • Patent number: 8278975
Abstract: A sinusoidal waveform generation circuit is configured to continuously control a voltage applied to a gate of a MOSFET to change an output current in the form of a sinusoidal wave by utilizing, as an electric characteristic specific to the MOSFET, a characteristic between a voltage applied to a gate of a MOSFET and an output current. The waveform of the sinusoidal wave generated by the sinusoidal waveform generation circuit is not a combination of a plurality of linear lines but is continuous and smooth. As a result, noises generated by the sinusoidal waveform generation circuit can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 8073166
Abstract: While a dielectric film is set to have a ground potential, a fixed electrode is set to have a different potential from the ground potential. Thereafter, ions produced by corona discharge are allowed to pass through a plurality of acoustic holes formed in the fixed electrode and reach the dielectric film, thereby electretizing the dielectric film.

  • Patent number: 7775558
Abstract: A webbing holding device is proposed, which prevents or controls abrupt reduction in take-up speed when taking-up of webbing is completed. In the webbing holding device, when the webbing is released from being fitted over an occupant, the webbing is wound to a retractor by biasing force. Here, immediately before taking-up of the webbing is completed, a guide strap is stretched by movement of a leading end portion of the webbing toward the back side of a vehicle, and thus the guide strap applies biasing force to the leading end portion of the webbing, so that the take-up speed of the webbing is reduced. Therefore, when winding of the webbing is finished, take-up speed of the webbing being abruptly reduced may be prevented or controlled, and therefore extraction of the webbing from the retractor being locked by a lock mechanism of the retractor may be prevented or controlled.
