  • Patent number: 6162025
Abstract: In a variable displacement swash plate type compressor, a drive shaft is installed in a case to rotate about its axis. A generally spherical sleeve is axially slidably disposed on the drive shaft, a journal is disposed on the sleeve, and a swash plate is tightly disposed on the journal. For achieving a reliable pivotal movement of the journal relative to the sleeve, the following measures are practically employed. First and second parallel flat surfaces are provided at diametrically opposed portions of the sleeve. Third and fourth parallel flat surfaces are formed on diametrically opposed portions of an inner wall of a generally cylindrical bore defined in the journal. The sleeve is disposed in the generally cylindrical bore of the journal in such a manner that the first and second parallel flat surfaces slidably abut against the third and fourth parallel flat surfaces respectively.

  • Patent number: 5963597
Abstract: A data transmission apparatus applicable to transmission of data by the use of a cable of a television camera system or the like and capable of ensuring simplified exact demodulation of data transmitted through quadrature modulation. The apparatus comprises a demodulator for outputting detection signals of the quadrature-modulated signal based on reference signals whose phases are each different by a predetermined value from an I-axis reference signal and a Q-axis reference signal in the quadrature modulation; a signal level corrector for correcting the signal levels of the detection signals; and a signal converter for converting the output signals of the signal level corrector to detection signals based on the I-axis and Q-axis reference signals. An equalizer circuit is further included in the apparatus for adaptively equalizing the output signals of the signal converter or the output signals of the signal level corrector.

  • Patent number: 5729282
Abstract: A digital video communication system for bidirectional communication between a first station and a second station is disclosed. The first station, which may be a camera head unit, includes a first transmitting portion and a first receiving portion. The first transmitting portion has a video data processing unit supplied with video data and adapted for outputting processed video data at a variable transmission bit rate controlled by a first rate controlling signal, and a first multiplexing unit for multiplexing audio data and an error detection signal on the processed video data. The first receiving portion has a separating unit for separating video data, a control signal and audio data from received multiplexed data, a generating unit for generating the rate control signal from the control signal and a unit for supplying the rate signal to the video data processing unit.

  • Patent number: 5685417
Abstract: A conveying belt having a belt body with oppositely facing inner and outer surfaces and a width between laterally spaced sides. The belt body has a first layer, with the first layer being an elastomer with a first plurality of discrete fibers therein having lengths substantially less than the width of the body. The lengths of the fibers in a second plurality of fibers in the first plurality of fibers are randomly oriented and reside substantially in a single plane. The invention is also directed to a method of making the conveying belt.

  • Patent number: 4795992
Abstract: An assembly which comprises a plurality of dielectric coaxial resonators, each comprising a generally elongated, polygonally-sectioned dielectric body having a hollow coaxially defined therein so as to extend completely through the length of the dielectric body, and also having inner and outer conductors formed respectively on inner and outer peripheral surfaces thereof, and a mount for the support thereon of the coaxial resonators. The mount has side abutments set up from the mount for engagement with respective sides of the coaxial resonators whereby the position of each coaxial resonator relative to the mount can be restricted by the corresponding side abutments.

  • Patent number: 4713633
Abstract: An arrangement for attaching a cover member onto a casing of dielectric coaxial resonators and the like, which is capable of attaching the cover member onto the casing containing the resonators in it for fixing in a so-called single operation, while establishing a positive electrical conduction between outer conductors of the resonators and the casing.
