  • Patent number: 4705245
Abstract: A binding device comprises a band and a buckle. The band has a plurality of lock grooves formed on one surface and a coupling hole formed adjacent to one end. The buckle has an insertion hole for inserting the band therethrough. The walls defining the insertion hole are provided with a ratchet pawl for engagement in the lock grooves of the band. The buckle also has a lock member for insertion into a coupling hole of the band. Wires are bound together by inserting the band into the insertion hole of the buckle, then looping the band round the wires and then forcibly inserting the lock member into the coupling hole.

  • Patent number: 4704929
Abstract: A device for setting a screw comprises a driver holder for receiving an end of a driver, a screw holder integral with the driver holder for retaining a head of a screw, and a pair of elastic pawls projecting inwardly from the peripheral wall of the driver holder for clamping the driver end, whereby the screw can be temporarily coupled to the driver end via the device.

  • Patent number: 4555589
Abstract: A lead wire retainer comprises a pair of half rings, retaining means for holding a given lead wire in place, and elastic supporting means for elastically supporting the retaining means. The lead wire retainer is constructed so that the pair of retaining means firmly hold the lead wire when the pair of half rings are joined with the engaging means to complete a full ring.

  • Patent number: 4322885
Abstract: A knife apparatus comprises an elongated handle member formed with a groove of a C-like cross-section, a slide unit disposed longitudinally slidably within the groove, and a blade slidably disposed in the groove and having a base portion connected to the slide unit. Locking member is provided for the slider unit and adapted to mesh with a tooth train formed in at least one longitudinal edge of the groove, to thereby immobilize the slide unit and hence the blade relative to the handle. A manipulator plate having a cam groove is disposed on the slide unit over the locking member to control the locking member, whereby the slide unit is moved between the locked and the released positions under the control of the manipulator plate.

  • Patent number: 4292738
Abstract: A knife having an elongated holder provided therein with a channel to the exterior at its upper side through a slot provided in the top wall of the holder, a blade carrier having a slider slidably received by the channel of the holder, and a blade detachably secured to the blade carrier through an engagement between a projection formed on the front end portion of the slider and an aperture formed in the base portion of the blade. The knife further has a spring or the like for resiliently biasing the front end portion of the slider to bring the projection into engagement with the cooperating aperture in the blade, and a manually depressable finger portion for causing a downward movement of the front end portion of the slider to disengage the projection from the aperture in the blade against the resilient biasing force. The finger portion, which is integral with the slider through the slot, has a width greater than that of the slot, so that the finger portion cannot be depressed normally.
