  • Publication number: 20040209194
Abstract: A substrate supporting film to be etched is held on a rotating stage. Ultraviolet light having a wavelength of 200 nm or shorter radiated from first lamps irradiates the film in air, thereby removing organic coatings from the film and making the surface of the film hydrophilic. A chemical solution applied to the hydrophilic film while rotating the substrate. Ultraviolet light having a wavelength longer than 200 nm is radiated from second lamps and onto the film through the chemical solution.

  • Publication number: 20040013472
Abstract: In lining work in which a lining pipe R formed by spirally winding a strip-like member 500 consisting of an elongated sheet-form body is left in place inside a tubular culvert P, and a new lining pipe is additionally formed in front of this lining pipe that has been left in place, a lining apparatus S which has a flexible forming frame 1 consisting of link bodies is used. The strip-like member 500 is wound around the forming frame 1 by means of a joining mechanism part 7 attached to the forming frame 1, and a lining pipe R is formed while being forcibly folded inward utilizing the flexibility of the forming frame 1; at the same time, a back-filling material is injected into the inward-folded part. The inward-folded part later returns to its original state. Alternatively, the diameter of a small-diameter lining pipe R formed by winding around the forming frame 201 or 401 is expanded, and lining is performed with the back-filling material injected during this diameter expansion process.

  • Patent number: 6042765
Abstract: A method of the invention can produce a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin foamed product having less unevenness in a thickness of a surface layer and excellent mechanical strength. In the method, a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet is continuously shaped into a hollow member, and a foaming resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin and a foaming agent is supplied into an interior of the obtained hollow member. The foaming agent is foamed so that the hollow member is shaped into a desired form by the foaming pressure.

  • Patent number: 5603814
Abstract: A method of making a magneto-optical disk. A first AlGeN dielectric film is formed by reactive sputtering on a substrate. Two targets, one of aluminum and one of germanium, are used in the sputtering in a mixed atmosphere having at least nitrogen gas. Alternatively, a single target using an aluminum germanium alloy can be used. A magnetic film is formed on top of this dielectric film. A second dielectric film is then formed on top of the magnetic film. An adhesive film is formed on top of the second dielectric film and a second substrate adhered thereto.

  • Patent number: 5450260
Abstract: A disk drive with a turntable for supporting a flexible magnetic disk thereon has a spindle extending centrally through the turntable for engaging a first opening formed centrally in a sheet metal hub of the disk, and a drive pin arranged eccentrically of the turntable for driving the disk by engaging a second opening formed eccentrically in the disk hub. The drive pin support is made of a sheet metal support of resilient material and has an arcuate shape which is mounted flat to an underside of the turntable for deflection in a plan normal to that of the turntable. In view of the reduction of the space required for the deflection of the drive pin support and the total thickness or height of the disk drive, the drive pin is erected on an offset head portion of the support.

  • Patent number: 5263779
Abstract: A thrust ball-bearing in which a good lubrication is maintained for a long period of time and having a long service life. The bearing comprises a plurality of balls having a uniform diameter, a retainer which retains the balls, and two plates situated at either side of the retainer and rotatable relative to each other via the balls. The retainer has a thickness less than the diameter of the ball. A plurality of holes that retain each ball is provided on the retainer and a groove having a rectangular cross section is formed in a portion between two adjacent holes. An amount of grease applied to the ball is collected inside the groove and provided to the ball located on the downstream side of flowing grease without moving outwardly of the groove even if a centrifugal force generated by a rotation of the bearing is exerted.
