    Abstract: While a printing apparatus stores received image data in a memory, it detects presence/absence of a print medium fed from a feeding unit by a sensor. In accordance with the detection, the apparatus reads out image data from the memory and prints an image on a print medium. In the case of double-sided printing, the apparatus internally holds a print medium with an image being printed on the first surface. If runout of a print medium is detected while holding the print medium during double-sided printing, the apparatus reads and discards image data corresponding to an image to be printed on the runout print medium from the memory. Along with this, the apparatus performs control data reading so as to convey the print medium to print an image on the second surface of the print medium.

    Abstract: A motor rotor structure for an electric turbo charger is manufactured at low cost with good quality by fixedly fitting, over a shaft, a rotor core having electromagnetic steel sheets pre-formed as an integrated stack. The rotor structure includes a rotor core which is rotated by a magnetic field formed by a stator in a housing; a shaft configured to rotate a compressor impeller and the rotor core together; and a bearing supporting the shaft. The rotor includes the rotor core including the electromagnetic steel sheets; a stopper portion formed at an intermediate portion of the shaft to restrict axial movement of the rotor core; and a pressing unit which presses the rotor core fitted over the shaft against the stopper portion. The pressing unit prevents a circumferential phase shift between the shaft and the rotor core by a pressing force thereof.

    Abstract: In one implementation, an input queue switch provides latency fairness across multiple input ports and multiple output ports. In one embodiment, each input port maintains a virtual output queue for each associate output port. The virtual output queues across multiple inputs are aggregated for each specific output port. The sum of the lengths of the virtual output queues is compared to a threshold, and based on the comparison, feedback may be generated to control the operation of the input port for subsequent packets. The feedback may instruct the input port to stop buffering or drop packets destined for the output port with the sum of the lengths of the virtual output queues associated to the specific output port that exceeds the threshold. In another embodiment, each packet has an arrival timestamp, and a virtual output queue having the oldest timestamp is selected first to dequeue.
