    Abstract: A method for allocating port assignments for transmitting a reserved network stream across a network node comprises determining a cycle time associated with a network node. The method also comprises establishing, for at least one port of the network node, a plurality of virtual layers associated with the cycle time, wherein each of the plurality of virtual layers is divided into 2n equally-spaced slots per cycle (where n>0). The method further comprises receiving a reserved stream request associated with transmission of a reserved stream across the node, and determining a number of slots required to transmit the reserved stream. The method also comprises assigning one or more slots associated with a port of the network node to the transmission of packets associated with the reserved stream based on the determined number of slots. The method further comprises transmitting the stream according to the slot assignment associated with the port of the network node.

    Abstract: A centrifugal compressor includes a compressor housing, an impeller wheel which compresses intake gas from an intake-air inlet, a plurality of guide vanes disposed circumferentially along an inner circumferential wall of the intake-air channel between the intake-air inlet and the impeller wheel to swirl the intake gas around the rotational axis, a central intake-air flow path formed at an inner side of the guide vanes to allow the intake gas to flow to the impeller wheel without passing through the guide vanes, and a guide-vane moving mechanism which simultaneously changes the inclination angle of the guide vanes. Guide vanes generate swirl flow at an inner circumferential housing portion of an impeller wheel to improve a surge margin and to restrict decrease in a choke flow rate.

When a subject has an SNP of V12M, R113X, Q126X, Q141K, F208S, G268R, E334X, S441N, L447V, S486N, F506SfsX4, R575X, and/or C608X, it can be concluded that the subject has a factor that is capable of inducing urate transport failure, or a state or disease attributable to that failure. When a subject has an SNP of V12M, it can be concluded that, unlike the other SNPs, there is a possibility that the subject does not possess such a factor because, although this variation itself does not lead to a change in urate transport capability, said variation is related to linkage disequilibrium with other SNPs.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable medium for providing a fairness protocol in a network element are disclosed herein. An example method includes receiving one or more packets at each of a plurality of ingress ports of the network element, and scheduling the packets into a plurality of queues, wherein each of the queues is associated with packets that are sourced from one of the ingress ports. The method also includes monitoring a bandwidth of traffic sourced from each of the ingress ports, identifying a port among the ingress ports that sources a smallest bandwidth of traffic, and arbitrating among the queues when transmitting packets from an egress port of the network element by giving precedence to the identified port that sources the smallest bandwidth of traffic. Additionally, arbitrating among the queues distributes a bandwidth of the egress port equally among the ingress ports.

    Abstract: An embodiment of a reagent container includes a bottle with a pipe to reduce the effects of reagent sloshing. The bottle has an elongated base and an opposed cover connected by side walls and an end wall. A flat platform surrounded by a raised rim lies in the base opposite an opening in the cover. A ribbed pipe frictionally fits within the bottle opening and may attach to the anchor region leaving vent passages around the pipe. The pipe includes an aperture adjacent to the anchor region and oriented toward the end wall so that sloshed fluid has only a small effect on the level of reagent in the pipe during transfers. A modified blow molding process produces the anchor region by extending a pin a predetermined distance into a mold while the molded material is still plastic.
