  • Publication number: 20160065484
Abstract: A method for managing recirculation path traffic in a network node comprises monitoring an input packet stream received at an input port of the network node and monitoring a recirculation packet stream at a recirculation path of the network node. A priority level associated with individual packets of the monitored input packet stream is detected and low priority packets are stored in a virtual queue. The method also includes determining an average packet length associated with packets of the monitored recirculation packet stream. The method further comprises queuing one or more of the low priority packets or the recirculation packets for transmission based on the average packet length and a weighted share schedule.

  • Publication number: 20160020309
Abstract: The problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a semiconductor device capable of improving dv/dt controllability via a gate drive circuit during turn-on switching. The semiconductor device comprises a plurality of trench gate groups, each trench gate group including mutually adjoining three or more trench gates, and the distance between adjoining two trench gate groups is larger than the distance between adjoining two trench gates in one trench gate group. Thereby, gate-emitter capacity increases, and therefore the semiconductor device may improve dv/dt controllability via a gate drive circuit during turn-on switching.

  • Publication number: 20160006664
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable medium for providing a fairness protocol in a network element are disclosed herein. An example method includes receiving one or more packets at each of a plurality of ingress ports of the network element, and scheduling the packets into a plurality of queues, wherein each of the queues is associated with packets that are sourced from one of the ingress ports. The method also includes monitoring a bandwidth of traffic sourced from each of the ingress ports, identifying a port among the ingress ports that sources a smallest bandwidth of traffic, and arbitrating among the queues when transmitting packets from an egress port of the network element by giving precedence to the identified port that sources the smallest bandwidth of traffic. Additionally, arbitrating among the queues distributes a bandwidth of the egress port equally among the ingress ports.

  • Patent number: 9208921
Abstract: An electrolyte membrane 5, 5a having different EW values in different regions provides durability comparable to that of an electrolyte membrane made of a single type of ion exchange resin (i.e., an electrolyte membrane having the same EW value in its entire regions). A process for manufacturing such electrolyte membrane is also provided. Two or more kinds of ion exchange resin membranes 1 and 2 having different EW values are disposed such that their edges overlap upon each other and are then placed on a lower die 11 of a hot press 10. An upper die 12 is moved closer to the lower die 11 to press the ion exchange resin membranes 1 and 2 while at least their overlapping region 3 is heated, whereby in the overlapping region 3 the respective ion exchange resins are fused and mixed integrally. The adjacent ion exchange resin membranes are thus integrally bonded to each other in a stable manner, thus forming an electrolyte membrane 5.

  • Publication number: 20150343446
Abstract: An embodiment of a reagent container includes a bottle with a pipe to reduce the effects of reagent sloshing. The bottle has an elongated base and an opposed cover connected by side walls and an end wall. A flat platform surrounded by a raised rim lies in the base opposite an opening in the cover. A ribbed pipe frictionally fits within the bottle opening and may attach to the anchor region leaving vent passages around the pipe. The pipe includes an aperture adjacent to the anchor region and oriented toward the end wall so that sloshed fluid has only a small effect on the level of reagent in the pipe during transfers. A modified blow molding process produces the anchor region by extending a pin a predetermined distance into a mold while the molded material is still plastic.

  • Patent number: 9202620
Abstract: In a coil component, a shortest distance from a longitudinal wall of a flange portion of a drum core to a wire fixing portion is smaller than a shortest distance of the longitudinal wall to an electrode wire connecting portion by a convex portion formed at the longitudinal wall of the flange portion. That is, since a gap between the flange portion of the drum core and the wire fixing portion is small (or there is no gap), the wire fixing portion can be sufficiently bent. Accordingly, the wire can be securely fixed by a wire fixing portion of a metal terminal.

  • Patent number: 9197366
Abstract: FEC (Forward Error Correction) decoder with dynamic parameters. A novel means by which FEC parameters may be encoded into, and subsequently extracted from, a signal stream to allow for adaptive changing of any 1 or more operational parameters that govern communications across a communication channel. FEC parameters are encoded directly into a data frame such that the data frame is treated identical to all other data frames within the signal stream. When the data frame actually includes FEC parameters, it is characterized as a CP (Control Packet) type. For example, when decoding an MPEG stream, an MPEG block that includes FEC parameters, that MPEG block is characterized as a CP MPEG block. The means by which FEC parameters are encoded and extracted from the signal stream allows for much easier adaptive modification of the manner by which signal are encoded, modulated, and processed within a communication system.
