  • Patent number: 5862088
Abstract: In a memory testing apparatus wherein a plurality of function tests are continuously carried out for a semiconductor memory and a decision as to whether or not a failure relieving analysis of the memory should be performed is rendered upon completion of each function test, a failure cell counter 15 is provided at the rear stage of a failure analysis memory 13. When a failure memory cell is detected in a memory under test MUT in each function test, the number of failure cells of the memory under test is counted by the failure cell counter. A main controller controls operations of the memory testing apparatus ST such that a failure relieving analysis of the memory under test is performed only when the number of failure memory cells detected in the function test performed this time is greater than the number of failure memory cells detected in the preceding function test.

  • Patent number: 5210564
Abstract: An automatic focusing device has an A/D converter for converting a supplied video signal to a digital signal; an orthogonal converter for converting a video signal transmitted from the A/D converter to a signal indicative of a frequency component region; and a control section for producing a control signal for performing a focusing operation based on information of the frequency component transmitted from the orthogonal converter. The orthogonal converter performs a discrete cosine transformation with respect to the digitally converted video signal. The orthogonal converter transmits low to high frequency components from the digitally converted video signal. The control section transmits the control signal for performing a focusing operation based on an arbitrary component of the frequency components transmitted from the orthogonal converter. A circuit for performing the focusing operation may be constructed on the basis of a plurality of frequency components.

  • Patent number: 5172236
Abstract: An electronic pan-focusing apparatus for a camera including a image pickup portion which is arranged to receive one or plural optical images from a photographic lens of the camera. The image pickup portion is adapted to divide each of the images into a plurality of regions in horizontal and vertical directions and to pickup image data and high-frequency component data from each of the regions. An image storage portion is provided for storing the image data and the high-frequency component data of each of the regions fed from the pickup means at every image. An arithmetic portion is adapted, when the data of the plural images are stored in the image storage means, to mutually compare in magnitude the high-frequency data of the regions which take the same position in the respective images and thereby to make a composite image from the plural images by selecting one of the regions having a largest high-frequency component data in magnitude at every position.

  • Patent number: 4303553
Abstract: A neutron protection thermal insulating material is obtained by adding a boron compound and, if necessary, a hydrous compound, to chrysotile asbestos fibers. To form the material, the asbestos is opened with the use of a surface active agent in the presence of water. The boron compound is added and air bubbles are incorporated into the mixture which is then dried, molded and compressed. The resulting product is characterized by a construction wherein the opened asbestos fibers are oriented in substantially parallel relation to each other and in the direction perpendicular to the compression direction and air pockets are flatly arranged between the fibers and substantially parallel thereto to reduce thermal conduction through the material in the direction parallel to the direction of compression.
