  • Publication number: 20040256787
Abstract: A roller shaft extends between a pair of frame walls. A feed roller is mounted on the roller shaft for feeding a stack of sheets placed on a feeding tray one by one from an uppermost sheet. A transmission gear is concentrically coupled to one end portion of the roller shaft to be rotated by driving of a driving motor. A boss extends axially inwardly from a center position of the transmission gear. The roller shaft has a flat key portion at the one end portion thereof. The flat key portion has a substantially D-shape in cross section. The flat key portion is coupled to the boss by being received in a non-circular hole of the boss. With this arrangement, an eccentric displacement of the roller shaft relative to the transmission gear is suppressed, and the feed roller is easily detachable from the roller shaft with a simplified operation.

Abstract: The invention provides a liquid crystal display device capable of displaying colors clearly and with high visibility in both a reflective mode and a transmissive mode. The liquid crystal display device according to the invention can be a transflective liquid crystal display device including a reflection layer, color filters in which coloring layers of different colors are arranged corresponding to sub-pixel regions, and light shielding layers for partitioning the adjacent sub-pixel regions, and the transflective liquid crystal display device displays images in reflective regions and transmissive regions. Colored regions, in which the coloring layers of the color filters exist, and non-colored regions, in which the coloring layers do not exist, are provided in the reflective regions. Both the colored regions and the non-colored regions can be provided so as to overlap the light shielding layers along the longitudinal direction of the sub-pixel regions in plan view.

  • Publication number: 20040234092
Abstract: Sound input to a microphone is converted into an electrical signal and the electrical signal is amplified by an amplifier. The amplified electrical signal is supplied to a primary coil as an alternating current. Thus, a magnetic field around the primary coil varies with time and a secondary coil generates an induced electromotive force. A vibrating coil is supplied with current generated by the induced electromotive force and thus an induced magnetic field is generated around the vibrating coil. The vibrating coil provided on the surface of an eardrum is vibrated by interaction between the induced magnetic field and a magnetostatic field generated by a permanent magnet.

  • Publication number: 20040147256
Abstract: When a user inputs necessary details on a user's decision screen and transmits the inputted details (Step S3), an acceptance server 12 reads an address list from an address DB 21 and then transmits the address list to the user (Step S4). When the user selects an address from the address list and transmits the selected address, an area decision server 13 retrieves and reads a map of the surrounding of the selected address from a map DB 23 and transmits the map to the user (Step S6). The user then inputs the numbers of stories of a building where the user desires to utilize the wireless communication service and the direction of an antenna based on the map of the surrounding, and transmits those inputted particulars (Step S7). The area decision server 13 reads base station information from a base station DB 24 and calculates the transmission characteristic between two points, namely the antenna and the base station, to decide whether communication between the two points is executable or not.

  • Publication number: 20040125430
Abstract: A display device 100 has a display unit 110 and a display switching unit 120. The display switching unit 120 is provided with a reflective polarizing plate 121, a liquid crystal panel 122, and a polarizing plate 123 arranged in this order from the side of the display unit 110 to the observation side. By controlling the liquid crystal panel 122, the display switching unit can be switched between a light transmissive state and a light reflective state. The display unit 110 and the display switching unit 120 are optically adhered to each other by an adhesive layer 131. Thus, deterioration of the contrast by boundary reflection can be restrained, and the flatness and the rigidity of the device can be improved.

  • Publication number: 20040102030
Abstract: A preheat device is installed, thereby executing before forming bumps to electrode parts a pre formation temperature control for bonding promotion to promote bonding between the electrode parts and the bumps during a bump formation. Metal particles of the electrode parts can be changed to an appropriate state before the bump formation. Phenomenally, a bonding state between the electrode parts and the bumps can be improved as compared with the conventional art. In a further arrangement of the present invention, semiconductor components with bumps formed can be heated under a bonding strength improvement condition by a bonding stage through controlling the heating by a controller.

  • Patent number: 6724112
Abstract: A cup ring and a holding-plate are disposed at each side of a front bracket of a stator of a motor, to fix in place an outer ring of a front ball-bearing of the rotor of the motor in order to prevent creep between a bearing housing and the outer ring. A thickness of a bearing shim is adjusted such that a distance between an end portion of a tube section of the cup ring and a first end face of the outer ring is less than 0.1 mm. The holding plate is temporarily fixed to a given place of the motor shaft, and then screwed down thereto with a screw, so that the holding plate moves and solidly contacts the outer ring of the front ball bearing. An outer diameter of the motor shaft extending between the given place and the bearing is smaller than a center hole of the holding plate such that the holding plate does not contact the motor shaft.

  • Patent number: 6494585
Abstract: The surface of a light guide plate is provided with face portions obliquely oriented. Since the face portions form leakage lights whose directional components are deviated from the principal viewing direction on the surface of the light guide plate, the orientation distribution of the leakage light differs from the conventional one, and the peak orientations of the leakage light are formed on both sides of the viewing direction. Moreover, the peak intensities on both sides significantly decrease.
