  • Patent number: 5641903
Abstract: A gas rate sensor comprising a sensor body, a pump control device and a resistive bridge circuit. Semiconductor substrates are accurately photoengraved by semiconductor fabrication techniques to integrally form a pair of heat-generating and heat-sensitive resistive elements, a gas passageway, a pump casing, and other components in the sensor body. The pump control device controls a piezoelectric pump for creating a gas flow. The resistive bridge circuit is composed of the aforementioned resistive elements and a pair of reference resistors. The pump control device sets the gas flow rate to a given value to detect only the angular velocity acting in the direction of yaw. The angular velocity can be detected accurately with high sensitivity.

  • Patent number: 5579442
Abstract: A network is provided in which the direct model of the controlled target is learned, and an actuation amount for realizing a target control amount is generated using this network in accordance with the relaxation algorithm. A recognizing network and a prediction network are provided, wherein the recognition result of the recognizing network is input to the prediction network, and the prediction result of the predicting network is fed back to the recognizing network. Moreover, the predicting network is utilized so as to generate a command relating to the motion in accordance with the relaxation algorithm.

  • Patent number: 5498943
Abstract: A feedback control device at a certain control time, predicts a feedback quantity at the next control time on the basis of a feedback quantity fed back from a controlled object and then performs a control operation based on the predicted feedback quantity. The feedback control device includes a predictive control unit for producing such an actuating signal as to decrease a deviation between the predicted feedback quantity and a desired value. The actuating signal is used to control the controlled object. This eliminates the detrimental effects of time delays associated with the controlled object or the control device, thus ensuring good control. The use of the predictive control unit permits the controlled quantity from the controlled object to converge to the desired value monotonically and quickly.

  • Patent number: 5420810
Abstract: The adaptive input-output apparatus comprises a data holding portion which holds sample data for determining an input/output function, a data selector which uses a predetermined evaluation standard to select valid sample data from said sample data, and an input/output portion which determines an input/output function in accordance with sample data selected by the data selector and outputs on the basis of the input/output function and in accordance with external input. Accordingly, the adaptive input-output apparatus removes unnecessary sample data or uses a predetermined condition to remove sample data having a small evaluation quantity and validity when the input/output function is determined, extracts sample data having a high validity and determines an input/output function using a reduced set of sample data.

  • Patent number: 5385046
Abstract: An angular velocity sensor of the type wherein a flow of gas forced by a pump into a gas path in the sensor body through a nozzle hole and directed toward a pair of thermosensitive resistance elements provided in the gas path is deflected by the action of an angular velocity and the deflection of the gas flow is sensed by the thermosensitive resistance elements, and which is further provided with a thermostatically-controlled gas path which is heated in order to maintain the gas flow at a constant temperature to avoid the effect of ambient temperature variations. The sensor also is provided with a gas path for absorbing pulsations of the gas flow caused by pumping operations.

  • Patent number: 3990562
Abstract: A serial printer is described which includes a platen, a printer head, a mechanism for selecting one desired type out of a plurality of types on the printer head, a mechanism for joining a printer head shaft and an output shaft of the type selector, a pusher for pushing the selected type further outward than the adjacent types, a support for supporting the printer head and a striking mechanism connected to the printer head for causing the printer head to strike the platen, thereby enabling printing of the desired type. The printer head includes a shaft and a type wheel which is connected to the shaft. The printer head also has a plurality of resiliently supported types thereon. The selector brings a desired type to a printing position on the printer head, and the support allows the printer head to pivotally move about an axis to strike the platen.
