  • Publication number: 20140247367
Abstract: A theoretical motion blur amount is calculated. A static state image is acquired. For each of the plurality of shutter speed values, a bokeh amount at the boundary between different color areas in each of a plurality of the static state images that have been acquired is measured as a bokeh offset amount. A vibrated state image while the camera is being vibrated with its image stabilization function being ON is acquired. A bokeh amount at the boundary between different color areas in each of the plurality of vibrated state images that have been acquired is measured as a measured comprehensive bokeh amount. And an evaluation value indicating the performance of the image stabilization function of the camera is calculated based on the theoretical motion blur amount, the bokeh offset amount, and the measured comprehensive bokeh amount.

  • Patent number: 8780184
Abstract: An image pickup apparatus capable of taking a 3D picture may produce a 3D picture that gives a viewer a sense of strangeness if panning, tilting, or considerable camera shake occurs during imaging. Provided is an image pickup apparatus including: a motion detecting section, which detects the motion of the image pickup apparatus; and a picture data outputting section, which switches its output between 2D picture data and 3D picture data obtained by picking up subject images, depending on the detected motion of the image pickup apparatus. An appropriate picture is provided by switching the output between 2D picture data and 3D picture data depending on the motion of the image pickup apparatus. An appropriate picture is provided also by changing the stereo base of optical systems, or adjusting a parallax between the left image and the right image, in accordance with the motion of the image pickup apparatus.

  • Patent number: 8754949
Abstract: A shake measurement system (1) is an apparatus for measuring the amount of shake of a camera (2), and comprises a first shake amount acquisition section, a second shake amount acquisition section, and a third shake amount acquisition section. The first shake amount acquisition section uses image processing to acquire the amount of shake of the camera (2) as a first shake amount. The second shake amount acquisition section acquires the amount of shake of the camera (2) as a second shake amount by a different method from that of the first shake amount acquisition section. The third shake amount acquisition section acquires the amount of translational shake of the camera (2) on the basis of the first shake amount and the second shake amount.

  • Patent number: 8446474
Abstract: For automatically transmitting an image file, a system transmits the file automatically through specifically specifying information for file transmission such as an address of a destination. The system includes a memory for storing a data file and an automatic transmission control file for briefly describing information of a file name of the file to be transmitted and a destination address, and a communication unit for transmitting the data file according to the automatic transmission control file. Therefore, the system can transmit the data file automatically only by having a memory storing the data file and automatic transmission control file connected to the communication unit.

  • Patent number: 8395672
Abstract: An imaging device capable of detecting and correcting, with high accuracy, the motion (image rotation) in the rolling direction of the image caused by the camera shake during imaging without being influenced by the individual variation, temperature characteristic, and variation with time of the sensor. To correct the motion (image rotation) in the rolling direction of the image caused by the camera shake during imaging, the result of detection of the angle of inclination of the device by an angle sensor (8a) is corrected with the result of detection of the angle of inclination of the image on the basis of the feature of the captured image by an image inclination detecting section (7), and the imaging device (3) is rotated around the optical axis or an axis parallel to the optical axis according to the corrected angle of inclination of the device.

  • Patent number: 8204358
Abstract: At least one of a recorded image signal data, recorded audio signal data, and recorded image signal multiplex data, and reproduction information data describing the information about reproduction of at least one of the recorded image signal data, the recorded audio signal data, and the recorded image signal multiplex data or an arbitrary combination thereof, are stored. In this reproduction information data, the user can describe and edit by freely and easily combining the image data, audio data, and image/audio multiplex data. The CPU reads out image data and audio data from the storage means according to the reproduction information data, and decodes them, and converts the data format if necessary, and reproduces the image and audio in synchronism by using synchronization control means.

  • Publication number: 20120092525
Abstract: The image capture device in which if a super resolution processor is not turned ON, a drive controller outputs a read instruction to an imager at a first interval to get a single image. If the super resolution processor is ON, the drive controller outputs the read instructions to the imager at a second interval, which is shorter than the first interval, and the super resolution processor performs super resolution processing on the images obtained, thereby generating image data representing a new image.
