  • Patent number: 7349112
Abstract: A user, upon specifying a print control file as a file to be transmitted, an image file to be printed listed in the control file is also specified as a file to be transmitted, and the image file is listed into a transmission control file. This enables the user to transmit the image file without transmitting it separately. A file specifying apparatus employs a memory storing the image file and image file information that specifies the image file. The apparatus is used together with a transmitter that transmits the image file to a destination device for printing the image file. The apparatus includes a reading unit for reading the image file information from the memory and a controller for adding print control file information into the transmission control file. The print control file information specifies the print control file including the image file information read out.

  • Publication number: 20070162707
Abstract: The data processing apparatus (200) holds information about free area which enables writing at specific or more speed in a recording area of an information recording medium (100) including the recording area composed of plural blocks, in a valid free area manager (240) A free area which enables writing at specific or more speed is a block including more than a specified number of unused clusters. The data processing apparatus (200), when necessary to record data to a new free area in the information recording medium (100), refers to the information held in the valid free area manager (240), searches for a free area, and writes data into the searched area.

  • Publication number: 20030007189
Abstract: For automatically transmitting an image file, a system transmits the file automatically through specifically specifying information for file transmission such as an address of a destination. The system includes a memory for storing a data file and an automatic transmission control file for briefly describing information of a file name of the file to be transmitted and a destination address, and a communication unit for transmitting the data file according to the automatic transmission control file. Therefore, the system can transmit the data file automatically only by having a memory storing the data file and automatic transmission control file connected to the communication unit.

  • Patent number: 5798792
Abstract: In an image pickup apparatus with a horizontal line interpolation function having a plurality of solid state image pickup elements, three chrominance signals obtained from the plurality of solid state image pickup elements are shifted in vertical phase from one another, whereby when a horizontal interpolation line is synthesized, in the case where the interpolated video signal is viewed as a whole of three chrominance signals (e.g. when a luminance signal synthesized from G, R, and B signals by matrix operation is considered), deterioration in vertical frequency response characteristic can be reduced, and besides deterioration in vertical sharpness of an image can be reduced. Further, by combining a frame signal in a pseudo fashion, a high-quality frame still image can be formed.

  • Patent number: 5452021
Abstract: When an image motion vector is to be detected, correlation calculations are performed by a correlation calculation circuit (12) and the motion vector is detected from the result. At this time, the video signal undergoing correlation calculations has a half-line deviation between the fields in the vertical direction caused by interlace. Then, the detected motion vector contains an error of half a line derived from the above deviation. Therefore, a motion vector correction circuit (14) corrects the error by adding to or subtracting from the motion vector derived by the motion vector detection circuit (13) a predetermined number corresponding to half a line. Further, a vertical-direction interpolation circuit (31) is provided to produce a vertical-direction interpolation signal for a video signal. One of video signals performed with correlation calculations in a correlation calculation circuit (33) is always the video signals interpolated in the vertical direction. Thereby the above described error is corrected.

  • Patent number: 5321515
Abstract: An image fluctuation correcting apparatus for correcting image fluctuations without using a field memory by providing an image fluctuation predicting circuit for predicting image fluctuation in a succeeding field from the image fluctuation determined in a preceding field and moving signal read addresses of a solid state image pickup device in accordance with the predicted value. In another image fluctuation correcting apparatus, movements of an image pickup apparatus are detected by using an acceleration detecting circuit to thereby predict image fluctuation in a succeeding field by a predicting apparatus on the basis of the detected movement of the image pickup apparatus for correcting the image fluctuation.
