  • Patent number: 9979943
Abstract: In an image processing apparatus that can provide, to an image, an emphasis effect that serves as a focusing degree indicator, provision of an emphasis effect that is easily distinguished is realized. A signal generation circuit generates signals having values that correspond to the values of process target pixels of image signals. For example, based on the magnitude of a frequency component extracted from the image signals by an extraction circuit, a signal modification circuit applies signals to the process target pixels and outputs the process target pixels. The signal generation circuit generates signals so as to have values that decrease continuously or in a stepwise manner in accordance with increase in the values of the process target pixels.

  • Patent number: 9445085
Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes an imaging unit having a predetermined pixel array, and a generation unit configured to generate a test video signal for evaluating consistency between a video signal generated by performing predetermined processing on a video signal output from the imaging unit, and the video signal output from the imaging unit. In the test video signal, a signal value of each pixel is set so as to exhaustively cover signal values within a predetermined range in a direction in a video image of the test video signal. The test video signal has a repetition pattern in the direction in the video image of the test video signal. A signal deviating from regularity of the repetition pattern is inserted at a predetermined position in the repetition pattern. The spatially or temporally adjacent repetition patterns have different phases from each other.

  • Patent number: 8553127
Abstract: This invention can reduce the circuit scale by synthesizing OSD data to be superposed on a picture of each resolution by using common OSD data. According to this invention, a video resolution converter converts an HD (High Definition) video signal into an SD (Standard Definition) video signal such as an NTSC or PAL video signal. A memory controller receives a sync signal identical to an SD picture obtained by frequency-dividing an HD video signal, and a sync signal based on an SD video signal, and reads out OSD data (4 bits per pixel) from the memory on the basis of these sync signals. The OSD data read out on the basis of the SD video signal is synthesized with the SD video signal by an SD_OSD_MIX unit, and then output. The OSD data read out on the basis of the SD sync signal synchronized with the HD is multiplied by an integer by an OSD resolution converter, synthesized with an HD video signal by an HD_OSD_MIX unit, and then output.
