  • Publication number: 20040075380
Abstract: In a display device comprising a first substrate having a display area formed by arranging a plurality of pixels in a matrix manner and a driving circuit driving the plurality of pixels arranged outside of the display area both provided on a main surface thereof, a second substrate covering the main surface of the first substrate and stuck thereto at a seal material interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate which surrounds the display area and the driving circuit on the main surface of the first substrate, and a light emitting element and an active element being provided for each of the plurality of pixels, the present invention provides a light shielding layer covering both the display area and the driving circuit to prevent the display area and the driving circuit from being exposed to ultraviolet light incident on the second substrate with which the seal material is irradiated to be cured, and avoids deterioration of characteristics of the active elements in the display area and the d

  • Publication number: 20040032563
Abstract: The invention provides a high quality liquid crystal panel with low non-uniformity by enveloping a pair of glass substrates sandwiching an uncured thermosetting seal member with heat-resistant metal sheets, bringing the insides of the sheets into a substantially hermetically closed state to decompress the space around the substrates, pressing the glass substrates and the seal member by a pressure difference from the atmospheric pressure in a predetermined space created by the enveloping sheets, heating the sheets, the glass substrates and the seal member with a heater disposed at a position remote from the sheet and curing the seal member, and maintaining the gap between the pair of glass substrates to prevent non-uniformity of the gap between the pair of glass substrates constituting the liquid crystal panel.

  • Publication number: 20020063846
Abstract: Glass substrates interposed by unhardened thermosetting sealing material is surrounded by two sheets. The space between the sheets is placed in a roughly sealed state and decompressed to produce at least a partial vacuum between the sheets. The sheets serve to press the glass substrates against the sealing material by the pressure difference relative to the atmospheric pressure. One or more heaters spaced apart from the sheets heat the glass substrates and the sealing material, setting the sealing material.

  • Patent number: 5636312
Abstract: A video image mixing apparatus which can prevent a fluctuation of a mixed video image by a mixed video signal in the case where a playback video signal obtained by playing a recording medium in a special playing mode and a graphics video signal. When a discontinuity of the phase of a color burst signal in the playback video signal obtained by playing the recording medium is detected, the playback video signal and the graphics video signal are delayed by a predetermined time period and the delayed signals are mixed subsequently, thereby keeping the phases of chroma signals of the playback video signal and graphics video signal equal even in a special playing mode such as a still image reproducing mode or the like. In another embodiment, the mixed video signal of the playback video signal and graphics video signal is delayed by a predetermined time and is generated.

  • Patent number: 5434676
Abstract: A video signal mixing apparatus for mixing a playback composite video signal produced by playing a recording medium and a graphics composite video signal generated on the basis of video data read from a memory device, wherein a vertical synchronizing signal of the playback composite video signal is forcedly generated in response to a vertical synchronizing signal of the graphics composite video signal to make the number of horizontal scanning lines of the playback composite video signal coincident with the number of horizontal scanning lines of the graphics composite video signal.

  • Patent number: 5355175
Abstract: A video mixing apparatus mixes a graphics video image and a playback video image at a plurality of mixture ratios in one image plane. Fade data indicative of the mixing ratio of at least one line of the playback video signal and the graphics video signal is sequentially generated in accordance with a predetermined order. The fade data is held into holding means and is outputted from the holding means synchronously with a horizontal sync signal. The levels of the playback video signal and the graphics video signal are individually adjusted in accordance with the fade data outputted from the holding means and the adjusted signals are added. The playback video signal and the graphics video signal are mixed at the mixing ratio set every line of one image plane.

  • Patent number: 5311324
Abstract: An image reproduction apparatus with a plurality of disk players which concurrently perform play operation so as to produce a plurality of division video format signal concurrently. The video format signal are combined into a signal/final video format signal. The respective frame numbers extracted from the respective division video format signals are compared with the corresponding designated frame numbers. When the extracted frame number and the designated frame number do not coincide to each other, the corresponding division video format signal is ignored in the synthesis operation for producing the final video format signal.

  • Patent number: 5260801
Abstract: A video format signal recording and reproducing method wherein a plurality of division video signals are obtained by dividing a single video format signal and are recorded onto a plurality of recording media, set indication ID numbers are recorded. When the division video signals are reproduced from the recording media, the set indication ID numbers are automatically discriminated. Only when the set indication ID numbers coincide each other, the reproducing operation of the single video format signal is executed.
