  • Publication number: 20030062814
Abstract: The present invention relates to a light source device including discharge tubes that emit light by discharging in a thin atmosphere, a method of producing the light source device, and a display apparatus in which the light source device is employed. This light source device includes discharge tubes and a heat conductive member that is brought into contact with the neighboring area of the electrodes of the discharge tubes so as to locally cool down the neighboring area of the electrodes. In the light source device, a low heat conductivity member having lower heat conductivity than the heat conductive member is interposed between the heat conductive member and the discharge tubes. With such a structure, the luminance in the entire light source device can be increased and made uniform, and the reliability of the light source device can be increased accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20010050732
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device has a framework which includes a first frame for supporting a liquid crystal panel, a second frame having an upper portion for covering a peripheral portion of the surface of the liquid crystal panel and a side extending substantially parallel to the side of the first frame, and third members being in the form of clips detachably attached to the side of the first frame. The second frame is fixed to the first frame via the third members. The liquid crystal display device also includes a mechanism for changing the angle of the display.

  • Patent number: 5811702
Abstract: A keyboard music instrument includes a keyboard, key action mechanisms functionally connected to keys of the keyboard, strings assigned notes of a scale and hammer assemblies for striking the strings. The hammer assemblies have respective hammer heads formed of metallic powder containing synthetic resin so as to exactly regulate the weight to target values.

  • Patent number: 4686879
Abstract: For easy and free adjustment of key touch on a keyboard musical instrument, a balancer made of an elongated leaf spring has a pair of opposed leg sections suited for elastically clamping hammer shank or hammer wood of the action assembly. Preferably, the balancer is provided with pawls for stable attachment by encroachment on the objective.

  • Patent number: 4524669
Abstract: A key-driving/detecting mechanism for performing automatically a keyboard instrument is constituted by a plurality of keys arranged on a key bed, each key being rotatable about a balance pin secured to a balance rail, and an electromagnetic device interposed between a lower surface of each key and the key bed at a position to the rear of the balance pin. Each electromagnetic device comprises an electromagnetic oil mounted on the key bed and a permanent magnet secured to a rear surface of the key. The simplicity of the key-driving/detecting mechanism is implemented by this disposition of the electromagnetic device. In a modification a pair of electromagnetic devices are provided in front of and in rear of the balance pin.

  • Patent number: 4412674
Abstract: A reduced iron installation includes transportable container having a charge/discharge mouth section provided with a sealing valve and a plurality of support legs and is arranged for 180.degree. rotation between a charge condition under a furnace to a discharge condition supported over the mouth of a storage tank via its legs, a weighing device for said container in its discharge condition, and a cluster remover disposed in the storage tank mouth and having a sealing valve which opens and closes, in response to detection signals from the weighing device indicating that the container is charged or empty, respectively. The cluster remover includes a grizzly feeder disposed obliquely within a cylindrical casing which is supported via an anti-vibration mounting on a fixed support surface, and a vibrating machine mounted on the casing.

  • Patent number: 4398876
Abstract: The present invention relates to a hot briquetting apparatus for producing reduced iron briquettes comprising a container for receiving high temperature reduced iron; a storage tank connected to and located underneath the container for storing reduced iron and a hot briquetting machine located at a bottom opening of the storage tank. The improvement involves a means for charging residual reduced iron powder, carbon or mixtures thereof as well as an inert gas into the storage tank, said charge means connected to the storage tank and penetrating into the storage tank so that it is attached in a fluid-tight manner; said powder, carbon, inert gas, etc., being funneled into the storage tank in specific proportions in response to control means which are activated by a temperature sensor in contact with the reduced iron within the storage tank.

  • Patent number: 4226158
Abstract: In the construction of a damper assembly for musical instruments, the conventionally used swingable damper lever for operationally relating a key to an associated damper wire is omitted and the swing movement of the key is either directly and indirectly converted into a corresponding fairly vertical movement of an elongated damper holder via a balance weight disposed to the bottom end of the damper holder in order to avoid undesired influences caused by swinging movement of any mechanical parts. Use of a plate type damper holder further advantageously prevents undesirable twist and dancing of the damper holder. Simultaneous, even and well-controlled pressure contact of the damper head with the vibrating string assures ideal damping and acoustic effects and use of detachable balance weight enables free adjustment of touch on the key.

  • Patent number: 4203341
Abstract: In the construction of a damper assembly of pianos, the conventionally used long-sized damper wire is replaced by a pair of separate short-sized lever components operationally related to each other via an additional intermediate damper lever for stabilized action of the assembly even without provision of the conventionally used guide rail. A shorter length damper wire joins the upper lever component to the damper head.
