    Abstract: A method for forming an image, which comprises heating a light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least a light-sensitive silver halide, a binder, and a dye providing substance simultaneously with or after imagewise exposure thereof in the presence of water, a reducing agent, and at least one kind of intensifying agent. In accordance with the method of the present invention, images having a high density can be obtained in a short period of time using reduced amounts of silver and base. A heat-developable photographic material containing intensifying agent is also described.
