  • Publication number: 20090173131
Abstract: A control device, for a servo die cushion, by which the speed of a die cushion is prevented from largely deviating from the speed of a slide, whereby the press force between the slide and the die cushion is not significantly reduced. The control device includes a slide speed detector for detecting the speed of the slide, a die cushion speed detector for detecting the speed of the die cushion, and a die cushion speed commanding part for controlling the speed of the die cushion. When a tentative speed command of the die cushion is largely deviated from the detected slide speed, the command of the die cushion is corrected such that the absolute value thereof does not exceed the value calculated by adding the absolute value of the detected slide speed to a positive constant.

  • Patent number: 7531961
Abstract: Phosphor layers (110G, 110B, and 110R) are made of a combination of: blue and green phosphors that are positively charged on their surfaces and baked in an oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere to reduce oxygen vacancy, and that have a ?-alumina crystal structure; and a red phosphor made of an yttrium oxide compound. Uniformly forming such phosphor layers on the wall surfaces of barrier ribs (109) provides equal charge characteristics of the phosphors of respective colors, reduces oxygen vacancy in the phosphors, and inhibits adsorption of various gases in the panel production process. This can stabilize the discharge characteristics and prevent luminance degradation at driving the panel.

  • Patent number: 7531981
Abstract: A controller for a servomotor capable of improving accuracy of positioning and quality of a machined surface by switching modes of correction of a position command or the like, and reducing a shock at the time of switching. A correction amount generating section obtains a correction amount based on a value of a correction factor such as machine temperature. When the external signal is in ON state, a position command or the like is corrected by the correction amount obtained by the correction amount generating section and sent via switches. A correction amount holding section holds the correction amount obtained by the correction amount generating section. When the external signal turns to OFF state, the connection of the switches is changed so that correction is performed by the correction amount held in the correction amount holding section. When the connection of the switches is changed, the correction amount does not change rapidly, so that the machine does not suffer a shock.

  • Publication number: 20080258671
Abstract: Abnormality of a position error is quickly detected in a control device in which feedforward control is introduced. A position error estimation processing unit calculates a position error estimation value Err, for example, from the equation V/PG×(1??) (V: first order differential of position command, PG: position gain in position controller, ?: feedforward coefficient in feedforward term calculating unit), and abnormality of the position error is detected using an excessive-error detection level calculating by adding a margin ?E to the position error estimation value.

  • Publication number: 20080245121
Abstract: A device (110) for judging the collision of a slide (24) with a die cushion in a die cushion mechanism (20) which produces a force against the slide in a press machine using a servo motor (18) as a drive source, comprising force detection means (21) for detecting a force produced between the die cushion and the slide; and comparator means (95) for comparing a force detection value (Fd) detected by the force detection means with a predetermined threshold value (L1); wherein, when the force detection value becomes greater than the threshold value, it is so judged that the slide has come into collision with the die cushion. Thus, the collision is judged within a short period of time and reliably. The collision may be judged by comparing differentiated values (Fd?, Fd?) of the force detection value, slide position detection value (Y1d) or slide position instruction value (Y1c) or other related threshold values.

  • Patent number: 7421878
Abstract: A control device of a die cushion mechanism, by which a force between a slide and a die cushion may follow a commanded value even in the rapid acceleration or deceleration of the slide and, moreover, a problem such as vibration of the mechanism may be prevented in the gradual acceleration or deceleration of the slide. The control device includes a slide position detecting part, such as a position sensor, for detecting the position of the slide and a correcting part for correcting a current commanded value using an acceleration of the slide, obtained by second-order differentiation of the position of the slide detected by the position sensor.

  • Patent number: 7401492
Abstract: A control device (10) for a die cushion mechanism that produces a force for a slide (24) in a press machine, comprising slide velocity command-forming means (61) for forming a velocity command for the slide (24), die cushion velocity command-forming means (62) for forming a velocity command for said die cushion (20), and velocity relation calculation means (65) for calculating a velocity relation between the velocity of the slide and the velocity of the die cushion based on a rate of increase (dF) in the force produced between the slide and the die cushion immediately after the collision of the slide with the die cushion. The cushion velocity command-forming means forms the velocity command for the die cushion based upon the slide velocity command formed by the slide velocity command-forming means and upon the velocity relation calculated by the velocity relation-calculation means. This makes it possible to form an optimum velocity command for the slide and/or the die cushion.

  • Patent number: RE40647
Abstract: The first object of the present invention is to provide a PDP with improved panel brightness which is achieved by improving the efficiency in conversion from discharge energy to visible rays. The second object of the present invention is to provide a PDP with improved panel life which is achieved by improving the protecting layer protecting the dielectrics glass layer. To achieve the first object, the present invention sets the amount of xenon in the discharge gas to the range of 10% by volume to less than 100% by volume, and sets the charging pressure for the discharge gas to the range of 500 to 760 Torr which is higher than conventional charging pressures. With such construction, the panel brightness increases. Also, to achieve the second object, the present invention has, on the surface of the dielectric glass layer, a protecting layer consisting of an alkaline earth oxide with (100)-face or (110)-face orientation.
