    Abstract: An object of the invention is to calibrate an upper pyrometer for indirectly measuring a substrate temperature at the time of epitaxial growth in a comparatively short time and with accuracy to thereby improve the quality of an epitaxial substrate. After calibrating an upper pyrometer by a thermocouple mounted to a temperature calibrating susceptor, a measured value of a lower pyrometer is adjusted to a calibrated value of the upper pyrometer. Then, a correlation line between substrate temperature indirectly measured by the upper pyrometer at the time of epitaxial growth onto a sample substrate and haze of a sample substrate measured immediately after epitaxial growth is set to indirectly measure a substrate temperature by the upper pyrometer at the time of epitaxial growth onto a mass-production substrate.

    Abstract: Provided is a motion guide device having a lubricating path usable for both of grease lubrication and oil lubrication. The motion guide device has a raceway rail 1 and a moving block 2 mounted on the raceway rail 1 slidably via rollers 3 as rolling elements. Onto each moving-directional end of the moving block 2, an endplate 32 is attached which has a direction change path 6 formed therein for circulation of the rollers 3 and a lubricating path 38 formed therein for supplying the rollers 3 with a lubricant. In oil lubrication with use of lubricating oil as the lubricant, a lubricating path piece 39 is fit into the endplate 32 to narrow the lubricating path 38, while in grease lubrication with use of grease as the lubricant, the lubricating path piece 39 is not fit to the endplate 32 so as to widen the lubricating path 38 as compared with that for the oil lubrication.

    Abstract: Conventional binders require water for granulation, are poor in shape retention, generate a large amount of smoke when used in granulated moldings, thus deteriorating the working atmosphere, and causes excessive heating of granulated moldings, and therefore there are many disadvantages to limit their use. The binder of the invention is compounded with a resin having a softening point suitable as a binder resin for toners, preferably 100° C. or less, for example polyol resin, styrene-acrylic copolymer or polyester resin. As the binder, waste toners can be utilized. The binder does not require addition of water and is excellent in water resistance, and is thus effective for production of steel-making flux particularly from aluminum residues such as alumidoloss and aluminum ash.
