  • Publication number: 20090284967
Abstract: A lighting apparatus lights up a lighting target and includes a first substrate with a first LED group mounted thereon, and a second substrate with a second LED group mounted thereon. First LEDs of the first LED group and second LEDs of the second LED group are equally spaced in line and face with each other. Light beams emitted from the first LEDs and the second LEDs are reflected by reflection surfaces of the first and the second substrate as they travel toward the lighting target and gather in a space between a first protruding portion of the first substrate and a second protruding portion of the second substrate, and applied to the lighting target.

  • Publication number: 20090269089
Abstract: In an image forming apparatus for forming a color image by superposing component color images, a control device obtains position data representing a forming position of each of plural registration mark images for the component color images with respect to a positional reference value arbitrarily determined, divides the position data into each of a unit reference range representing a range in which one mark image is formed, converts the position data divided for each unit reference range into those based on respective reference values representing the front edge of the unit reference ranges, extracts the position data representing ranges common to the mutually overlapping ranges each of which is represented by a couple of position data corresponding to the rising and falling edges of a passage timing pulse as read position data of the mark image of the component color, and calculates the amounts of positional deviations of the component color images from one another on the basis of the position data extracted.

  • Publication number: 20090212483
Abstract: Imaging target media stacked in a tray are bent in a width direction orthogonal to a transmission direction so that rigidity of the imaging target media in the transmission direction increases than the rigidity before bending. Consequently, even though a separation imaging-target medium is bound together with a transportation imaging-target medium using a binding member, the separation imaging-target medium is transmitted to an imaging unit along with the transportation imaging-target medium by transporting rollers without bending in the transmission direction. A superimposed-transmission of the imaging target media is detected by sensors and rotation of the transmitting roller is stopped. Due to this, the superimposed-transmission of the imaging target media is stopped just before the imaging unit.

  • Publication number: 20090116080
Abstract: An image reading apparatus includes a plurality of LEDs, a light guide member that linearly illuminates, an LED control circuit that controls amounts of light of each LED based on reference light quantities and corrects the reference light quantities, an image sensor such as a CCD that scans an original when each of the LEDs are put on simultaneously, an analog front end (AFE) that generates read image data corresponding to the original, and a light modulation reference member disposed at a position where imaging by the CCD is possible. During correction of each of the reference light quantities, the LED control circuit puts each LED on individually. Each LED is then modulated by correcting the present outputs based on the modulated light image data generated by sensing the light modulation reference member when each of the LEDs is on and the reference light quantities based on target outputs corresponding to each of the LEDs.

  • Patent number: 7370330
Abstract: An information processing apparatus having a simplified switching function of a user is disclosed that can reduce the processing burden upon a CPU and eliminate an action that is not intended by its user. If an application, which implements a function of a device or the like that is not supported as a standard device by an OS and is started up for each user, has been started up by a first user who is not active at present, that is, a user in a logon state whose desktop has been switched to that of a second user, then part of the processing of the application is temporarily stopped. Then, if it is detected that the first user is rendered operative, that is, when the desktop is switched to that of the first user, the processing of the application of the first user is re-started.
