  • Publication number: 20010052337
Abstract: A signal processing device is provided which is designed to process an output of a piezoelectric sensor to produce a signal which indicates a load applied to the piezoelectric sensor accurately without being affected adversely by leakage current occurring in the piezoelectric sensor and electrical disturbances. The signal processing device includes a differentiating circuit which differentiates the output of the piezoelectric sensor and an integrating circuit which integrates an output of the differentiating circuit to produce an output signal as a function of the output of the piezoelectric sensor. The frequency range of the output signal is selected based on a frequency range of the load applied to the piezoelectric sensor.

  • Patent number: 6306693
Abstract: To provide a method of manufacturing a semiconductor device, a method of manufacturing an active matrix substrate, and an electrooptic device in which in forming different type TFTs on the same substrate, a variation in the LDD length or offset length of TFT can be suppressed by a small number of steps. In the method of manufacturing an active matrix substrate, a patterning mask 554 used for forming gate electrodes 15 and 25 is left, and used in introducing a medium concentration of phosphorus ion to introduce impurities in self alignment with the patterning mask 554. Next, with the patterning mask 554 removed, low-concentration of phosphorus ion is introduced by using the gate electrodes 15 and 25 as a mask to form low-concentration source-drain regions 111, 121, 211 and 221 in self alignment with the gate electrodes 15 and 25. The LDD length of each of the regions is equal to the amount of side etching caused in patterning the gate electrodes 15 and 25.

  • Publication number: 20010015402
Abstract: In an installation structure of a glow plug with a combustion pressure sensor, a seat surface is provided in an installation hole formed in the engine so as to penetrate from outside into a combustion chamber of the engine. A contact surface is formed in the glow plug. The glow plug is partly inserted into the installation hole and is fixed via a ring shaped gasket to the engine so that the glow plug comes in pressurized contact with the engine in an axial direction of the installation hole. With the installation structure mentioned above, the elastic member is elastically more deformable in an axial direction of the installation hole than a portion of the glow plug on which the combustion pressure sensor is mounted.

  • Patent number: 5668019
Abstract: An Si thin film (2) for a channel is formed on an insulating substrate (1), and then a gate insulating film (3) made principally of SiO.sub.2 is formed thereon. On the gate insulating film (3) is formed a gate electrode (4) composed of a Si thin film doped with impurities. The gate electrode (4) is patterned by isotropic etching using a photoresist (11) as a mask, and the gate insulating film (3) is patterned by anisotropic etching using the photoresist (11) as a mask into a configuration wider than the gate electrode (4) to be removed from source/drain regions position. The Si thin film (2) is ion implanted with impurities to form source/drain regions of an offset structure. A thin film transistor having an offset or LDD structure and capable of reducing an off-state drain current is fabricated without the need for increased number of masks and for an accurate photolithography technique, such as in alignment accuracy between masks.

  • Patent number: 5414278
Abstract: A pixel electrode and a line for a storage capacitor are sandwiched by first and second protecting films so as to position them in a different plane from a gate electrode and source/drain lines. An insulating film for a storage capacitor and the second protecting film remain at a crossing of the source line and a gate line, but part of them on a TFT is removed, when a pattern of the removal is at least partially deviated from a pattern of a contact hole in the first protecting film directly covering a polycrystalline Si film over the TFT, so that a short-circuit between lines and a breaking of the lines because of a level difference of film layers. Thus, an occurance of failure because of the short-circuit between lines is inhibited, and failure in the lines is reduced by reducing the breaking of the source line and/or the drain line.
