  • Patent number: 6471589
Abstract: Conventionally, the same impression is given by machine bodies of the same kind even when any of them is played and attachment or preference of a player with regard to a machine or a game is difficult to produce. Therefore, a slot machine (1) according to the invention is provided with control means changing control of an attached equipment by individuals of the game machines such that individual difference is produced among the game machines of the same machine kind without changing control of hit probability. When the attached equipment is constituted by reels (3) through (5), the ROM (32) stores control constants for determining a timing of starting to rotate or stopping to rotate the respective reels (3) through (5) by values which differ depending on the individuals.

  • Patent number: 6383073
Abstract: A gaming machine displays a plurality of rows of symbols in moving and stopped states at an image display section formed in a front panel. If big winning symbols to be displayed in a stopped state are not attained as the result of determination (S4), then random number sampling for deciding whether or not to execute an image action is carried out (S6). According to the result of this sampling, whether or not to execute the image action is determined (S7). If it is determined to execute the image action, then an operation for randomly blinking tricolor-emitting LEDs is carried out at step 8 (S8). The LED display when executing the image action may be at a low luminance, as long as a player can guess, by seeing the blinking of tricolor-emitting LEDs, that a certain phenomenon relating to big winning might be occurring. The blinking pattern of the tricolor-emitting LEDs is constituted by randomly repeating their color changes.

  • Patent number: 6308953
Abstract: In a gaming machine displaying a plurality of rows of symbols in moving and stopped states, when the mode of symbols displayed in a stopped state is determined to be a big winning pattern, then the LEDs of credit meter 126, bet meter 120, and last bet meter 122 are turned off (S2 to S6). The timings at which these meters 120 to 126 are turned off are set such that they appear to turn off at substantially the same time to the player's eyes. Further, all of the reel section illuminating lamps 130A to 130I, disposed within the space on the inner peripheral side of reels 12A, 12B, and 12C are temporarily turned off (S7). As all of the LEDs of meters 120 to 126 and the reel section illuminating lamps 130A to 130I are turned off, the player is startled for an instant, so that the expectation for the game increases thereafter, whereby amusement can be enhanced.

  • Patent number: 6299165
Abstract: In a game machine, when a result of hit determination is a hit of double odds, a motor drive circuit 36 is controlled, any one of stepping motor 37 through 39 of reels 3 through 5 including a symbol “wild” is driven to rotate and any one of the reels 3 through 5 including the symbol “wild” is rotated by one rotation (step 109). Next, a hopper 49 is driven by a hopper drive circuit 48 and coins having a number of sheets of a normal hit in accordance with an allotment display table are paid to a coin tray 20 (step 110). Next, any one of the reels 3 through 5 including the symbol “wild” is again rotated by one rotation (step 111). Thereafter, coins of the normal hit in accordance with the allotment display table are again paid (step 112).

  • Patent number: 6272989
Abstract: Manufacturing methods of liquid crystal display elements and manufacturing apparatuses for same which prevent an insulating substrate from sliding out of position and which attract and fix the substrate firmly and flatly by removing deformations of the substrate with substantially strong forces, even when a thin-type glass substrate or a thin-type plastic substrate is employed. A blower is used to exert attractive forces on the insulating substrate placed on a stage at a second attraction opening. A vacuum pump and a switching valve are used to exert the attractive forces first at the first attraction openings of the first group, then at the first attraction openings of the first and second groups, and finally at the first attraction openings of the first, second, and third groups on nearly the entire insulating substrate.

  • Patent number: 5921906
Abstract: A pinless folder has a hold-down blade in a cut-off cylinder having, together with paper presses, a cut-off knife capable of cutting a web a in its entire width. A folding cylinder contiguous to the cut-off cylinder is provided, in addition to a cutter pad and a gripping jaw, with a gripper board for holding the front end of the web a held down by the hold-down blade. The web a passing between the cut-off cylinder and the folding cylinder is cut in one operation at an even speed. The even-speed, one-stage cutting results in improved quality and a reduced number of component parts.

  • Patent number: 5822130
Abstract: Light radiated from a light source is gathered by an oval mirror. The gathered light is incident on one end of a rod-shaped optical integrator, integrated and made uniform within the optical integrator, and is radiated from the other end of the optical integrator. The light from the optical integrator is diffused and projected on an exposure area of a display tube by a lens system. The lens system presents an astigmatism, thereby forming a first virtual focus and a second virtual focus on its virtual image area. The diffused light is apparently diffused vertically at the first virtual focus and apparently diffused horizontally at the second virtual focus. The first vertical focus and the second vertical focus correspond respectively in position to the positions of the vertical deflection means and horizontal deflection means of the display tube.

  • Patent number: 5779491
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide a configuration wherein, in a multipolar electrical connector B, when a counter electrical connector 100 is not inserted, a number of contacts 3 are individually protected from an external force, and, when the counter electrical connector 100 is inserted, even if the contacts are somewhat bent, the contacts can be connected in an unforced manner with contacts of the counter electrical connector. In the multipolar electrical connector B, a cover member 4 is disposed in an insertion space 2 formed in the body 1, so as to be movable in extracting and retracting directions. The tip ends of the contacts 3 are housed in hole portions 41 of the cover member 4. Spring members 5 for urging the cover member 4, and an engaging mechanism 10 which restricts the position of the cover member are disposed between the body 1 and the cover member 4.
