  • Publication number: 20060183622
Abstract: The present invention provides an optical synthetic quartz glass material which substantially does not cause changes in transmitted wave surface (TWS) by solarization, compaction (TWS delayed), rarefaction (TWS progressed) and photorefractive effect when ArF excimer laser irradiation is applied at a low energy density, e.g. at energy density per pulse of 0.3 mJ/cm2 or less. The present invention further provides a method for manufacturing the same. In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the optical synthetic quartz glass material of the present invention is characterized in that, in a synthetic quartz glass prepared by a flame hydrolysis method using a silicon compound as a material, the followings are satisfied that the amount of SiOH is within a range of more than 10 ppm by weight to 400 ppm by weight, content of fluorine is 30 to 1000 ppm by weight, content of hydrogen is 0.

  • Patent number: 7036305
Abstract: There are provided a particulate filter and a manual regeneration switch. When the manual regeneration switch is operated and the vehicle is in a stop state, the engine speed is adjusted to a first target higher than a normal idle speed to regenerate the filter. Meanwhile, when the vehicle changes from its stop state to its driving state, the engine speed is adjusted to a second target higher than the normal idle speed but lower than the first target in the event that the temperature of the filter is high, while the engine speed is adjusted to the normal idle speed in the event that the temperature of the filter is low. Accordingly, deterioration of the durability of the filter due to its rapid temperature increasing can be suppressed, avoiding disadvantages of fuel efficiency and vehicle start feeling.

  • Patent number: 7021050
Abstract: An exhaust particulate trapping means 12 for trapping particulates in exhaust gases is provided in an exhaust path 3 of an engine. When the engine enters a deceleration condition during the removal by burning of exhaust particulates trapped by the exhaust particulate trapping means 12, the drop of the flow rate of exhaust gases flowing into the exhaust particulate trapping means 12 is restricted. Thus, the cooling action of the exhaust particulate trapping means 12 through heat exchange with the exhaust gases can be kept up to suppress that the temperature of the exhaust particulate trapping means 12 excessively rises on engine deceleration.

  • Publication number: 20050239626
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide synthetic quartz glass optical materials suitable for use in YAG of higher order harmonics. The damage threshold value in J/cm2 (energy density at which cracks occur generated by irradiation) is to be considered when synthetic quartz glass material is irradiated with YAG laser of third or higher order harmonics with single pulses or continuously. Regarding a synthetic quartz glass optical material in use for the optical parts constituting the prism and lens used in a laser beam machine, this invention provides a synthetic quartz glass material suitably used for the YAG laser with the third or higher order of harmonic, choosing the following conditions: OH group concentration is in the range of ?1 to ?300 ppm; contained hydrogen molecule concentration is in the range of ?2×1018 to ?2×1019 molecules/cm3; transmittance of ultraviolet rays at 245 nm of wavelength is 99.9% or more; and the fictive temperature is in the range of ?880 to ?990° C.

  • Publication number: 20050229898
Abstract: A control device executes an overlap injection operation, in which one of the plurality of injectors is energized first to inject fuel, and a next one of the plurality of injectors is energized to inject fuel after starting of the energization of the one of the plurality of injectors while the one of the plurality of injectors is still kept energized. The control device corrects an energization period of the next one of the injectors by lengthening the energization period of the next one of the injectors in comparison to a normal energization period of the next one of the injectors, which is set for a non-overlap injection operation of the next one of the plurality of injectors.

  • Patent number: 6824120
Abstract: In a flow amount control device, column shaped valve element is slidably disposed in a cylindrical inner circumferential wall of a valve body. The valve element is provided along an outer circumference thereof with two ring shaped grooves. Fuel stored in the ring shaped grooves serves to form film of oil for lubrication in a sliding clearance between the valve element and the valve body so that frictional resistance therebetween is smaller and the valve element slides smoothly on the valve body. Accordingly, the device can control flow amount of fuel accurately.

  • Patent number: 6810687
Abstract: In the light of the disadvantages of the prior art technology, an object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a synthetic quartz glass member for excimer lasers, which comprises, while suppressing the generation of reductive defects which impairs the resistance against laser radiations, incorporating a sufficient amount of hydrogen molecules capable of achieving a high resistance against laser radiation into the quartz glass, yet uniformly incorporating the hydrogen molecules to realize a flat distribution in refractive indices attributed to the distribution in the density of hydrogen molecules. It is also an object of the present invention to provide a synthetic quartz glass member for excimer lasers obtained by the production method above, which yields high resistance against laser radiations and homogeneity.

  • Patent number: 6751925
Abstract: The present invention provides a filling apparatus establishing positional coincidence between creases preformed in a packaging material and actual creases to thereby improve the appearance of a packaging container. A light source irradiates a portion of the outer circumferential surface of a packaging material tube which includes an overlap. A sensor receives light emitted from the light source and reflected from the outer circumferential surface of the tube. The overlap is detected as a peak in the sensor output. Light reflected from an edge portion of the packaging material exhibits greater intensity and is seen as a peak in the sensor output indicating position of the overlap.
