  • Publication number: 20090015744
Abstract: To provide a pixel matrix and the like, which are capable of improving the picture quality by suppressing generation of flicker and crosstalk without deteriorating the numerical aperture of the pixels and without increasing the manufacturing cost. A first switch device has transistors connected in series. When selected by a gate line, the transistors are set ON simultaneously to apply a voltage, which is supplied from a data line, to a pixel electrode. A second switch device has a transistor and a control capacitor. When selected by a gate line different from the one mentioned above, the transistor is set ON to supply a prescribed potential to a connection point between the transistors of the first switch, and the prescribed potential is stored at the control capacitor. When not selected by the both gate lines, the potential of the connection point is kept to the potential stored at the control capacitor.

  • Publication number: 20080239180
Abstract: The present invention aims to reduce flickers of the liquid crystal display device and enable the use of liquid crystal material exhibiting a high response speed, and to enhance light usage efficiency of the field sequential type liquid crystal display device. After writing the video signal to all the pixels in each sub-frame period, a correction voltage signal or an alternating signal having a frequency of greater than or equal to a certain frequency is input to the data line, so that the magnitude of the leakage current of each pixel TFT caused by the difference in polarity of the video signal with respect to the opposing electrode written to the pixel electrode is equalized, and the flickers are greatly reduced.

  • Patent number: 7200351
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum, a charging roller, a transfer roller, and a toner charging brush, wherein the toner charging brush reciprocates in a longitudinal direction of the photosensitive drum. In the image forming apparatus, when a number of rotations per a unit time of the image bearing member is assumed to be “a” and a number of times of reciprocation per unit time of the toner charging brush is assumed to be “b” assuming that R=b/a, R is set to be in a range of 1/25?R?3. However, R=m/n (m and n are integers of 5 or less) is excluded. Consequently, generation of a periodic attachment pattern appearing on the photosensitive drum is eliminated.

  • Patent number: 7199780
Abstract: In a sequential driving method for time-divisionally displaying a plurality of color signals in respective ones of sub-frames forming one frame in a liquid crystal display apparatus including a plurality of data lines, gate lines, and liquid crystal pixels each including a liquid crystal cell and a switching element, black signals are written into all of the liquid crystal pixels at a beginning period of each sub-frame. Then, one color signal is sequentially written into rows of the liquid crystal pixels while the gate lines are sequentially selected. Finally, one backlight corresponding to one of the color signals is turned ON at an end period of each sub-frame. In this case, a level of pixel components of one color signal to be written into one row is compensated for, so that a change of an average transmittivity of each row is sufficiently small before the end period.

  • Patent number: 7148871
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device driving method wherein pixel signals are supplied to corresponding arrays (each having 6 switches) of a data driver through pixel signal lines with 6 pixel signals of 12 pixel signals as one block. Any set of pixel signals consist of pixel signals having a polarity opposite to that of the pixel signals and pixel signals having a polarity identical to that of the pixel signals. A scanning circuit of the data driver supplies ON/OFF control signals overlapping one another in terms of time between a before block and an after block to the switch arrays. The switch arrays are successively turned ON to apply the pixel signals of blocks to corresponding data lines, respectively. Then, the pixel signals are sampled during turn-OFF of the switch arrays to be held in floating capacities of the data lines, respectively.
