  • Publication number: 20100234164
Abstract: An automatic transmission is provided that has appropriately spaced gear ratios for eight forward speeds to be capable of obtaining a shift feeling in all of the eight speeds, and that can be reduced in size and weight. In the automatic transmission that transmits rotation of an input shaft to an output shaft at a speed selected from a plurality of shift speeds by first and second clutches selectively transmitting the rotation of the input shaft to first and second compound planetary gears, and by first to fourth brakes selectively fixing each element of the first and second compound planetary gears, the first compound planetary gear includes first and second sun gears, a common carrier rotatably supporting a long pinion and a pinion, and a common ring gear that meshes with the first sun gear through the long pinion or the pinion and also meshes with the second sun gear through the long pinion and the pinion.

  • Publication number: 20100167866
Abstract: An automatic transmission in which first to third clutches which can couple an input shaft to a first element of a first multiple planetary gear set and second and fourth elements of the second multiple planetary gear set, respectively, are arranged on a front side of the first multiple planetary gear set. Thus, it is possible to prevent a situation in which disengaging of the third clutch in the first speed causes the fourth element of the first multiple planetary gear set to rotate in reverse and generate a large relative rotation with the first element.

  • Patent number: 7670031
Abstract: A lighting device includes a plurality of self-luminous elements formed on a substrate and emitting different wavelengths of light from each other, a hemispherical lens structure formed on the substrate to cover the self-luminous elements, and a plurality of translucent spherical particles covering a surface of the lens structure. Light emitted from the self-luminous elements passes through the lens structure and enters the translucent spherical particles where its direction is largely inclined to scatter due to a difference in refractive index between the translucent spherical particles and air. Consequently, different wavelengths of light from the self-luminous elements are mixed to produce a desired color of light.

  • Publication number: 20090293470
Abstract: In an over-loading prevention device including a hydraulic pump, a control valve, and a control lever, a discharge-quantity control unit performs constant-torque control which decreases a discharge quantity in proportion to an increase in a discharge pressure in the pump to control an input torque of the pump uniformly. An operation-state detection unit detects an actuation state of the control lever. A control unit outputs a control signal that sets the pump input torque to a minimum torque according to the constant-torque control, to the discharge-quantity control unit when the control lever is operated over a predetermined speed, and subsequently changes a level of the control signal to a maximum torque according to the constant-torque control in accordance with a predetermined control pattern to raise the pump input torque.
