  • Patent number: 9147121
Abstract: The purpose of the invention is to increase accuracy in detecting a person on the basis of the size of an object detection region in an omni-directional image. A height-and-width switching section for switching between the height and the width of the object detection region on the basis of the position of the object detection region in the omni-directional image is provided. It is determined on the basis of the height and the width of the object detection region for which the height and the width are switched by the height-and-width switching section whether the object detection region is a person detection region. As a result, the person detection region and a shadow detection region can be correctly separated in the omni-directional image.

  • Patent number: 9135973
Abstract: Provided are a magnetoresistance effect element with a stable magnetization direction perpendicular to film plane and a controlled magnetoresistance ratio, in which writing can be performed by magnetic domain wall motion, and a magnetic memory including the magnetoresistance effect element. The magnetoresistance ratio is controlled by forming a ferromagnetic layer of the magnetoresistance effect element from a ferromagnetic material including at least one type of 3d transition metal or a Heusler alloy. The magnetization direction is changed from a direction in the film plane to a direction perpendicular to the film plane by controlling the film thickness of the ferromagnetic layer on an atomic layer level.

  • Patent number: 9086831
Abstract: In a case where an execution request for a job to be executed by an external device is received, job information of the job is registered in a first database. A second database is searched for job information of a job for the external device which executes the job. Based on the found job information, predetermined processing is executed on a job corresponding to the job information. In a case where job information is searched for in accordance with registration of a job and at least the job information is not found, predetermined processing is executed, based on the registered job information held in an information processing apparatus, on a job corresponding to the job information.

  • Patent number: 9004804
Abstract: An elastically deformable bridging piece includes an engaging protruding part between two ends of the piece, insertion of a portion of an attaching member in a direction intersecting a longitudinal direction of the bridging piece is permitted by elastically deforming the bridging piece by contacting with the engaging protruding part with the portion, and the engaging protruding part engages an engaging hole formed in the portion at an insertion terminating position by elastically returning the bridging piece. A restricting part restricting elastic deformation of the bridging piece is provided. When inserting the portion, the restricting part inclines the bridging piece to position the engaging protruding part on the obliquely downward side, and when a force in a reverse direction to the inserting direction acts on the portion located at the insertion terminating position, the restricting part restricts inclination of the bridging piece, which is reversely-oriented to the former inclination.

  • Publication number: 20150095626
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a rewriting unit and an execution unit. The rewriting unit rewrites a first instruction described at a trace point in a function defined in a program to a second instruction which gives instructions to execute a trace code, and stores the first instruction in a storage unit. The execution unit executes the trace code on the basis of the second instruction at the time of execution at the trace point in the function. If a third instruction which calls the function is included in the trace code, the execution unit replaces, at the time of executing the third instruction, the second instruction at the trace point in the function with the first instruction stored in the storage unit, and performs the function.

  • Publication number: 20150059148
Abstract: In a case where a liquid holding member is inserted into a storage section to produce a liquid storage container, the occurrence of a wrinkle or a partial separation in the liquid holding member can be suppressed. More specifically, a plurality of compressing needles are stuck into an ink holding member before insertion and moved in directions shown by arrows to compress the ink holding member. The ink holding member in a compressed state is inserted without coming into contact with a wall surface of an ink storage section. This can prevent the ink holding member from coming into contact with an inner wall of the storage container or the like during the insertion of the ink holding member into the storage container and can prevent the occurrence of a wrinkle or a partial separation in the ink holding member.
