  • Patent number: 5825264
Abstract: A dielectric filter includes a laminate substrate formed by laminating and bonding a plurality of dielectric sheets, belt-like resonance electrodes formed on predetermined bond surfaces of the dielectric sheets, input/output electrodes formed at predetermined positions of an outer periphery of the laminate substrate and connected to the belt-like resonance electrodes, and earth electrodes formed on the outer periphery of the laminate substrate under a non-connection state with the input/output electrodes. The end portions of the belt-like resonance electrodes extend to both side surfaces of the laminate substrate. One end of each belt-like resonance electrode is connected to the earth electrode formed on one of the side surfaces of the laminate substrate and serves as a short-circuit terminal, and the other end of the belt-like electrode is exposed on an ungrounded portion on the opposite side surface and serves as an open terminal.

  • Patent number: 5806147
Abstract: A clip made from a band-like metal plate having spring characteristics, includes: a back portion formed at a center portion of the metal plate in its longitudinal direction so as to have a width in the longitudinal direction corresponding to a maximum clipping thickness of the clip; a pair of abutment portions formed by bending the band-like metal plate in the same direction at longitudinally opposite ends of the back portion so that longitudinal opposite ends of the respective abutment portions form abutting edges which abut against each other for holding edge portions of sheet-like members to be clipped between the abutting edges of the abutment portions; and at least three bent portions for giving an elastic force to the abutment portions.

  • Patent number: 5404622
Abstract: A corner clip for clipping a plurality of sheets of documents or the like at their corner part without piercing the documents or the like, is made from a strip of bendable metallic material with a predetermined width, has an approximately trapezoidal substrate part and a pair of leg parts which are bent at approximate right angles from a pair of mutually slanted edge parts of this substrate part. In case after these leg parts are applied to outer edges of the corner part of the documents when the documents are to be bound, the leg parts are bent toward back side so that the substrate part of the corner clip presses the uppermost document from its surface side and the pair of legs press the lowermost document from its back surface side.

  • Patent number: 5162851
Abstract: A braking system for image forming apparatus returns an optical scan system in the image forming apparatus to a preselected home position after each scan of a document placed on a platen, within a predetermined period of time. Various factors including temperature, the number of copies of the document previously made, can change the operating performance of the braking system so that it does not return the optical scan system to the home position within the predetermined period. Detectors are provided to detect and sense the factors which will change the operating performance of the braking system. Brake control apparatus is responsive to the detectors and controls the braking system to return the optical scan system to its home position within the preselected period of time to thereby maintain the efficiency of the braking system even as the factors such as temperature, and number of copies previously made changes during operation of the image forming apparatus.
