  • Publication number: 20090013506
Abstract: The present invention relates to a silent surface fastener, wherein the surface fastener is provided with noise suppressing means and auxiliary engaging and disengaging means, so that even if joining strength necessary for a surface fastener (1) cannot be obtained due to adoption of the noise suppressing means, not only the joining strength necessary for the surface fastener (1) is compensated by the auxiliary engaging and disengaging means, but also only a peeling noise suppressed by the noise suppressing means is generated at the time of peeling of the surface fastener because the auxiliary engaging and disengaging means generates no noise when the engagement of the surface fastener is released, and consequently, only a quiet sound of 80 dB at a maximum is generated.

  • Publication number: 20080155796
Abstract: In a member having spring properties, such as a slider for a slide fastener or a snap button, the member main unit is composed of copper or a copper-based alloy, and the spring member attached to the member main unit is also composed of copper or a copper-based alloy. This eliminates the trouble of having to separate the structural components when recycling copper and also allows regenerated ingots to be readily prepared through a remelting process, thereby lowering recycling costs.

  • Publication number: 20040181920
Abstract: This invention relates to a slide fastener with a separable bottom end stop which scatters an external force applied to a reinforcement portion upon the opening/closing operation to reduce an applied load thereby preventing damages to the flexible reinforcement portion. Reinforcement portions are formed on a lower half of a box pin and an insert pin of a separable bottom end stop with synthetic resin symmetrically on front and rear surfaces of a fastener tape such that the reinforcement portions are extended on the fastener tape. Each reinforcement portion has an inside portion adjacent to the box or insert pin and an outside portion connected thereto. In the inside portion, plural ribs are disposed obliquely and a concave portion is formed among the ribs to supply flexibility. The outside portion is formed of thick ribs and connects with the inside portion.

  • Publication number: 20040181919
Abstract: A slide fastener with a separable bottom end stop enabling a reinforcement portion of the separable bottom end stop to be sewed securely and ribs at a sewing position not to be damaged by a sewing needle. The reinforcement portion formed integrally on a lower half portion of each of a box pin and an insert pin of the separable bottom end stop using synthetic resin is exposed on the fastener tape and constituted of an auxiliary member and ribs formed at a sewing position to be sewed to a sewing object. The rib is formed like its height is 0.5 to 0.85 mm and width 0.6 to 0.9 mm, expanded gradually from a vertex to a base portion. A gap portion, wider than the base portion of the rib, is formed between adjoining ribs, therefore the rib avoids strike of a sewing needle not to be damaged thereby and the gap portion ensures sewing of the fastener tape onto the sewing object.

  • Publication number: 20030213107
Abstract: A slide fastener having a separable bottom end stop is provided, which comprises a high quality reinforcement piece in which flexibility thereof is improved and there is no stripping or breakage of the reinforcement piece. Reinforcement pieces overhanging on front surfaces of fastener tapes are provided on side faces of the box pin and insert pin. Each reinforcement piece comprises an inclined portion which is formed in a substantially triangular shape overall toward an outer side edge close to a lower end of each fastener tape. An edge portion of the inclined portion is formed as a slope portion, which slopes gently toward a front surface of the fastener tape.

  • Patent number: 5080184
Abstract: A method which enables a dye to be weighted and taken out quickly at a high accuracy regardless of the required quantity of the dye by taking out the greater part of the required quantity of the dye in a powdery state and the remaining quantity of the dye in the state of a diluted solution, upon taking out the required quantity of the powdered dye, and an apparatus suitable for carrying out the above-mentioned method.

  • Patent number: 4501547
Abstract: A coupling element shaper comprises a pair of parallel externally threaded screw members corotatable in a common direction and disposed on opposite sides of a mandrel along which a core thread is fed while a filamentary material is wound around the mandrel into a row of helically coiled coupling elements. Each screw member has a portion varying in pitch to gradually reduce in a direction from one end to the opposite end thereof. The core thread is squeezed by the coupling elements as shaped by such portion so as to have a certain degree of stretchability which can cancel or take out its shrinkage when the coupling elements are sewn to a slide fastener stringer tape.
