  • Patent number: 7896634
Abstract: In a tenter dryer, while a film is dried, the stretch or the relaxation of the film are made. The tenter dryer includes first-third drying chambers for independently controlling the drying conditions and a shiftable stretch/relaxation device for making the stretch and the relaxation of the film with holding the film. When the stretch/relaxation device holds four edges, cutter blades provided in a drying nozzle cut the film to sheet films. Then while holding the film, the stretch/relaxation device moves between the first-third drying chambers in which drying conditions are previously controlled.

  • Publication number: 20110040908
Abstract: A character conversion apparatus makes a predictive search of a conversion database for conversion candidates on the basis of one or more characters inputted by use of a character input key. The apparatus obtains, in reference to a table, the total number of times the character input key is to be pressed down before inputting an unconverted character included in each of the searched conversion candidates and immediately following the one or more characters. The table contains characters assigned to the total numbers of times the character input key is pressed down. The apparatus determines the order of display, on a screen of a display device, of the conversion candidates to align with a descending order of the total number of times the character input key is to be pressed down before inputting the unconverted character. On the screen, the conversion candidates are displayed in the determined order of display. The apparatus receives confirmation of one of the conversion candidates.

  • Patent number: 7848176
Abstract: A word control circuit activates word lines corresponding to a start row address and a next row address overlappingly in the continuous mode. Accordingly, even in the case where the start address indicates an end memory cell connected to a word line, the switching operation of the word line becomes unnecessary. Memory cells connected to different word lines can be thus accessed in a sequential manner. That is, a controller accessing a semiconductor memory device can access the memory without data interruption. This can prevent the data transfer rate from lowering. Furthermore, it is made unnecessary to form a signal and a control circuit for informing a controller of the fact that a word line is being switched so that the construction of a semiconductor memory device and a control circuit of the controller can be simplified. This results in reduction of the system cost.

  • Patent number: 7829910
Abstract: Each second electrode formed on a second main surface of a compound semiconductor layer of a light emitting device has an alloyed contact layer disposed contacting the second main surface, aimed at reducing contact resistance with the compound semiconductor layer, and a solder layer connecting the alloyed contact layer to the conductive support. The solder layer forms therein a Sn-base solder layer disposed on the alloyed contact layer side having a melting point lower than the alloyed contact layer, and a Au—Sn-base solder layer disposed contacting the Sn-base solder layer opposed to the alloyed contact layer side, containing total Au and Sn of 80% or more, and having a melting point higher than the Sn-base solder layer. This configuration can provide excellent reliability of bonding between the Au—Sn-base solder layer and the alloyed contact layer, and consequently less causative of delamination of the Au—Sn-base solder layer.

  • Patent number: 7813533
Abstract: The recognition apparatus shoots pictures of at least a portion of a subject including a human face and obtains a sequence of image data. The facial portion is recognized from the image data. Each image data in the sequence of image data is processed successively. From the image data, an image region including the facial portion is identified. Either a color of the subject within a region defined based on the identified image region or the result of detection of moving regions is used for processing for identifying the image region including the facial portion.

  • Patent number: 7755433
Abstract: A preamplifier includes a single-ended amplifier, a differential amplifier, an operational amplifier, and a clipping circuit. The single-ended amplifier converts an input current signal into a voltage signal, outputs an amplified voltage signal according to a preset amplification gain. The differential amplifier includes first and second differential inputs, and outputs a negative-phase signal and a positive-phase signal. The amplified voltage signal is applied to the first differential input of the differential amplifier. The operational amplifier includes first and second inputs which respectively receive the negative-phase signal and the positive-phase signal, where an output of the operational amplifier is applied to the second differential input of the differential amplifier.
