  • Patent number: 7907700
Abstract: The present invention aims to suppress calorific value and prolong a lifetime of an apparatus that generates soft X-rays. Thus, the present invention provides a static elimination apparatus that includes an emitter as an electron emitting portion and a target, in which a thin film formed of diamond particles each having a particle size of 2 nm to 100 nm is formed on a surface of the emitter. The thin film has a diamond XRD pattern in an XRD measurement and, in a Raman spectroscopic measurement, a ratio of an sp3 bonding component to an sp2 bonding component within the film of 2.5 to 2.7:1. When a DC voltage is applied to the emitter, with a threshold electric field intensity of 1 V/?m or less, electrons larger in number than the prior art are emitted from the emitter and moreover, a temperature of the emitter is hardly increased, thus obtaining a longer lifetime.

  • Patent number: 7598074
Abstract: A reaction tank (5) holds crushed cells comprising a pellicle of Bacillus midousuji cultured in the presence of a chlorinated aromatic compound such as dioxins and holds wastewater comprising a contaminated matter such as fly ash which comprises dioxins and which is produced by washing of a facility such as an incinerator. Air is supplied by a blower (6) to a matter held in the reaction tank (5). Accordingly, dioxins having three or more chlorine atoms in the contaminated matter can be decomposed, and the contaminated matter can be easily cleaned at a site where dioxins generate such as a washing or dismantling site of an incineration facility.

  • Patent number: 7529074
Abstract: The present invention provides a charge neutralizer for accurately irradiating a soft X ray into a narrow gap after a glass substrate is lifted up. A soft X ray is introduced into a gap “d” from a soft X ray charge neutralizer 14, and the soft X ray is detected by a soft X ray optical axis monitor 16. Mounting position adjusting means 15 is adjusted by a detection output from said soft X ray optical axis monitor, and optical axis alignment is performed. Next, according to information from a database 19, a control unit 17 controls gap adjusting means 13, and charge neutralization is performed. Charge neutralization can also be performed by controlling the gap “d” by the gap adjusting means 13 while judging neutralizing conditions as to whether a charged potential measured by an electrometer 18 is within an allowable value by the control unit 17 or not.

  • Patent number: 5880789
Abstract: A teletext/data transmission decoder decodes information on characters and graphics and produces a supplementary program video signal. A proper program video signal arriving by way of a video processing circuit and a display image processing section and the supplementary program video signal coming from the decoder are synthetically combined by a synthesizing section and fed to a display unit. A system controller sets the decoder in a waiting state. If the proper program video signal contains data information, the system controller automatically starts a decoding operation and controls the synthesizing section to display the restored signal on the display unit. When an automatic display select switch is set to an automatic display mode, a supplementary program processing mode is automatically selected when a supplementary program is started.

  • Patent number: 5750011
Abstract: An apparatus and method for producing positive and negative ions and/or electrons in a gas of any atmosphere without producing dust, a method and structure for neutralizing a charged body in a short period of time and for completely preventing static electricity from being generated, and various apparatuses and structures, such as a conveyor, wet bench, and clean room, which use the neutralizing method and structure. The gaseous ion producing apparatus produces positive and negative ions and/or electrons in a gas by irradiating, with electromagnetic waves in a soft X-ray region, the gas under a high pressure, atmospheric pressure, or reduced pressure. In the neutralizing structure an X-ray unit is arranged at an appropriate place to apply the electromagnetic waves in a soft X-ray region to the atmospheric gas surrounding a charged body.

  • Patent number: 5621605
Abstract: A neutralizing apparatus is provided to facilitate and efficiently implement electric charge removal from a charged body such as a wafer which is easily charged. When the easily charged body such as a wafer is transported in a housing, a neutralizing charge generator, typically light sources for projecting exciting ultraviolet rays into the housing, are operated. Accordingly, the housing is filled with ions and a gas such as non-reactive gas. The neutralizing charge generator can generate positive or negative ions and electrons. When the charged body is positively charged, the electrons or negative ions move toward the charged body to neutralize the charged body with positive charge. When the charged body is negatively charged, positive ions move toward the charged body to neutralize the negative charge.

  • Patent number: 5596478
Abstract: An apparatus which can neutralize charge bodies such as processed substrates for semiconductor device and for flat display, free from electromagnetic noise, impurity contamination, and residual potentials. To process in a prescribed way a wafer(5) to be processed, the wafer(5) is, for example, moved from a pretreatment chamber(2) to a low pressure reaction chamber(3). In this case, a gas, which does not react on the wafer, such as nitrogen and argon, is introduced into the pretreatment chamber(2), and is kept under a predetermined pressure by a vacuum pump(15). Then, ultraviolet rays are projected in the pretreatment chamber(2) from an ultraviolet rays lamp(11) constituting a means for generating neutralization charge, and positive and negative floating charged particles(electrons and positive ions) are generated by exiting the atmosphere in the chamber(2).
