Patent number: 7013060Abstract: An optic switch for cross-connecting input light signals incoming from inlet fiber cables to outlet fiber cables is disclosed that makes use of a holographic filter (5) having a series of preformed different speckle patterns, each in the form of a hologram (H1, H2, . . . ). Associated with input light signals guided past respective inlet passages (4in) of a multimode waveguide (4), different speckle patterns are formed by applying different control voltages across respective electrode pairs (10, 10a) provided thereon. These speckle patterns past a single outlet passage (4out) of the multimode waveguide (4) into which the inlet passages (4in) converge are joined together and enter the holographic filter (5) in which an input light signal is selectively switched, addressed and cross-connected to an outlet waveguide (2) through a region thereof where a formed speckle pattern coincides with a preformed speckle pattern. The multi mode waveguides (4) is formed in, e.g., a LiNbO3 photorefractive substrate (3).Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 2005Date of Patent: March 14, 2006Assignees: Pegasusnet Co., Ltd., T. S. Patent number: 6475450Abstract: A method for directly leaching a zinc concentrate in one of the stages contained in the hydrometallurgical process for the production of electrolytic zinc. The method comprises: a neutral leach step, a zinc concentrate leach step, and an iron oxidation step. In the zinc concentrate leach step, a neutral leach residue and an iron sediment returned from the iron oxidation step are repulped by the spent electrolyte followed by adding thereto zinc concentrate to extract zinc from the zinc concentrate by carrying out a leaching under atmospheric pressure and at a temperature of not lower than 90° C., but not higher than the boiling point of the solution. According to this method, the concentration of Fe(III) ions in the zinc concentrate leach solution is significantly increased. Due to this Fe(III) ion concentration, the leaching rate of the zinc concentrate is enhanced.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 2000Date of Patent: November 5, 2002Assignee: Dowa Mining Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kaoru Saruta, Norihito Ishimori, Hitoshi Masuda

Patent number: 5867370Abstract: A conductive first enclosure section 11 is molded through a primary molding process. At this time, a primary mold is provided so as to form openings 13 and 14 in the first enclosure section 11 for portions that needs insulation (non-conductivity). At a secondary molding process to make a non-conductive second enclosure section 12, a secondary mold is provided so as to cover the first enclosure section 11 and then non-conductive resin is filled thereinto. The openings 13 and 14 in the first enclosure section 11 are filled with the non-conductive resin, thus the rear cover 1 is formed.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 1995Date of Patent: February 2, 1999Assignee: NEC CorporationInventor: Hitoshi Masuda

Patent number: 5568529Abstract: A signal disconnection detection apparatus includes a first counter, a first comparator, and a detector. The first counter is reset by a pulse signal received every predetermined period of a clock signal, and counts a clock signal transmitted together with data. The first comparator compares a count value of the first counter with a set value larger than the number of clock signals included in one period of the pulse signal, and stops an operation of the first counter when the count value of the first counter exceeds the set value. The detector detects that the count value of the first counter does not continuously change within a predetermined period of time to output a signal disconnection detection signal of at least one of the clock signal and the pulse signal.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 1995Date of Patent: October 22, 1996Assignee: NEC CorporationInventor: Hitoshi Masuda

Patent number: 5335274Abstract: An improved extendible telephone having a main casing incorporating a receiver and an auxiliary casing incorporating a transmitter and dial keys and slidably mounted on the main casing. Guide grooves are formed in each of the slide surface of the main casing and a back plate which is fastened to the auxiliary casing. Rail members are fitted in the slide surface of the main casing. The auxiliary casing is slidable along the rail members toward and away from an extended position while being guided by the guide grooves. The rail members each has an angled lug while the back plate is formed with two spaced pairs of angled recesses. When the auxiliary casing is slid to the extended position or a contracted position, the angled lugs selectively mate with either of the two pairs of angled recesses to lock the auxiliary casing in position.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 1992Date of Patent: August 2, 1994Assignee: NEC CorporationInventors: Hitoshi Masuda, Masataka Suzuki, Masataka Ohno, Kazuyoshi Kobayashi, Hiromitsu Nakamura
