  • Patent number: 5446770
Abstract: A transceiver for transmitting and receiving a signal having the same frequency according to a time-division includes a local oscillator for generating a local signal having a first frequency, a frequency converter for converting the local signal into a carrier signal, a modulator for modulating the carrier signal by using a transmitting baseband signal so as to generate a transmitting signal having a second frequency and a receiving section for receiving a receiving signal having the second frequency which is the same as that of the transmitting signal. The frequency convertor includes a fractional frequency convertor for converting a signal having an input frequency into a signal having an output frequency. Wherein, the output frequency is n.sub.2 /n.sub.1 times the input frequency, where n.sub.1 is an integer greater than 2, n.sub.2 is an integer greater than 1, n.sub.1 and n.sub.

  • Patent number: 5384368
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing water absorbent resin comprising a step of adding a high-molecular crosslinking agent which has at least 2 azetidinium salt groups in the molecule and has at least 1000 weight-average molecular weight to the water absorbent resin paticles having carboxylic groups and carboxylic acid salt groups and a step of efficiently crosslinking the vicinity of the surface of the water absorbent resin particles. In the process for producing water absorbent resin according to the present invention, the use of high-molecular crosslinking agent achieves less permeation of the crosslinking agent into the water absorbent resin particles and enables efficient crosslinking of the vicinity of the surface of the water absorbent resin particles. Consequently, the water absorbent resin having high water absorbency both under pressure-free state and under loading can be manufactured.

  • Patent number: 4944032
Abstract: A multiplex signal processing apparatus in a singal transmitting and receiving system includes at the transmitting side: a first amplitude-modulator for modulating a first carrier by a main signal to obtain a vestigial sideband, amplitude-modulated main signal; a second amplitude-modulator for modulating a second carrier which has the same frequency but differs in phase by 90.degree. from the first carrier by a multiplex signal to obtain a double sideband, amplitude-modulated multiplex signal; an inverse Nyquist filter for filtering this signal to obtain a vestigial sideband, amplitude-modulated multiplex signal; and an adder for adding the vestigial sideband, amplitude-modulated main and multiplex signals to obtain a multiplexed signal.

  • Patent number: 4856025
Abstract: A modulation method capable of high-speed or high-quality digital data transmission under a multipath fading transmission line such as a radio transmission in an urban area is a type of differential coding phase modulation and residues in the fact that the rate of change of phase varies, or the phase is discrete, but does not employ a phase transition waveform of a constant value in a time slot which is a smallest unit for transmitting one symbol of data as in conventional methods. Phase transition waveforms in respective time slots which are spaced apart from each other by prescribed time slots are identical varying waveforms or discrete waveforms, and entirely shifted from each other by an amount according to the data transmitted. A detecting method employed is a differential detection method using a delay line for delaying a signal for a time corresponding to the prescribed time slots.

  • Patent number: 4797735
Abstract: In a transmission system of signals including amplitude-modulated television signals, a pilot signal of a specific amplitude is supplied at a first place in the transmission system, and at a second place in the transmission system, the pilot signal having been subjected to a cross modulation due to nonlinearity of the transmission system from the first place to the second place is extracted. A rectifier picks up an envelope of the cross modulated pilot signal. In consequence, out of the envelope, the fundamental wave component or a higher harmonic component of the horizontal scanning frequency of the transmitted television signal is extracted by using a filter of an extremely narrow band. By detecting the increase in the level of this removed signal, an increase in distortion due to an excessive level of the transmission signal which causes a problem in the transmission system is detected.

  • Patent number: 4686895
Abstract: A method of and an apparatus for producing boiled eggs uniformly heats and solidifies each of the eggs. As the heating means, infrared and/or far infrared rays is adopted. The eggs are supported by pairs of conveyor rolls having recesses. The respective pairs of conveyor rolls are rotated in the same rotating directions, whereby the eggs supported thereon are turned about the axes thereof, so that the whole surfaces of the eggs can be uniformly irradiated by the infrared and/or the far infrared rays.
