    Abstract: An auxiliary cooling system which is provided separately from an engine cooling passage in a vehicle provided with a turbo engine. The auxiliary cooling system includes a first line which connects a radiator and an intercooler to each other and on which an electric water pump is installed. A second line connects the intercooler and an intake manifold. A third line connects the intake manifold and the radiator, and a bypass valve selectively directly transfers cooling water, heated while passing through a turbine housing provided on a path of the third line, to the radiator or transfers the cooling water to the radiator via an engine block or a heater. Cooling water discharged from the intake manifold passes through an ETC (electronic throttle control) unit and thus reduces a temperature of intake air passing through the ETC unit.

    Abstract: A method for measuring free radical comprises providing a sensor including a substrate and a conductive polymer layer, wherein the conductive polymer layer is configured on the substrate and made of conductive polymer; applying a liquid sample with free radical to the sensor so that the conductive polymer layer is covered with the liquid sample and the conductivity of the conductive polymer layer is lowered due to oxidation of the conductive polymer by free radical; and calculating the concentration of the free radical in the liquid sample based on the conductivity change rate of the conductive polymer before and after the liquid sample is applied to the conductive polymer. The present invention has advantages including low cost, small size, and ease of operation, which make it a good candidate for detecting hydroxyl radicals for oxidative stress studies.

    Abstract: A diaphragm valve for a vehicle includes: a diaphragm chamber having an upper chamber and a lower chamber divided by a diaphragm and communicating with a valve inlet and a valve outlet. The upper chamber has a nipple in which a fluid flows or from which a fluid is discharged, and the lower chamber has a chamber opening port at a lower end thereof. A valve rod is coupled to the diaphragm and extends toward the valve outlet. A valve head is provided at a position corresponding to an end of the valve rod and has a wider cross sectional area than the valve rod. The valve head closes the valve outlet when the valve is closed, and closes the chamber opening port when the valve is open.

    Abstract: A composite board is formed from binding a cover layer to a base layer, wherein the base layer has a composition comprising one or more of the following ingredients: magnesium oxide, recycled magnesium oxide, fibrous chips, wood chips, bamboo chips, chemical additive and water. A method of manufacturing the composite board includes providing the base layer, which includes preparing a semi-arid mixture of the above ingredients, and pouring the mixture through a funnel onto a conveyor belt. The conveyor belt passes the mixture through a series of rollers to remove excess liquid. The layer is cut into panels, which are heat before being sprayed with dried magnesium oxide. A binding agent is applied to one side of the base layer. The cover layer has a bottom surface which is then aligned and bonded to one side of the base layer.
