    Abstract: A method for medical imaging executed by an apparatus including a processor includes determining a start block of volume rendering based on respective maximum values of blocks positioned on a path of a light beam; acquiring a value of the light beam based on first sampling values acquired by sampling the start block; setting a processing order for remaining blocks positioned on the path of the light beam based on respective distances between the start block and the remaining blocks; determining whether a next block, according to the processing order, is to be processed, by comparing a maximum value of the next block with the value of the light beam; and comparing second sampling values acquired by sampling the next block with the value of the light beam and updating the value of the light beam according to a comparison result, in response to the maximum value of the next block being greater than the value of the light beam.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a gas supply device and, more specifically, to a gas supply device which can improve the flow of process gas within a process chamber and can increase a degree of uniformity of a deposition layer. The gas supply device, according to the present invention, comprises: a lead having a gas pipe connected thereto; a first plate for discharging, to a process chamber, gas introduced into the lead; a second plate provided so as to disperse gas flowing towards the bottom by being arranged between the lead and the first plate; a plurality of discharge holes on the first plate; and a plurality of discharge holes formed on the second plate, wherein a discharge hole formed at a corner section of the second plate is arranged in a different state from that of a discharge hole of a corner section formed at the same position on the first plate.

    Abstract: Research into neuroprotective mechanisms has at its heart the goal of developing new therapeutic strategies to treat patients. For example, the compositions and induction strategies disclosed herein have use for acute injuries such as stroke or trauma, and would be extremely useful in treating patients undergoing cardiac bypass surgery, neurosurgery or other surgical cohorts where ischemia is a risk. Further, patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage, transient ischemic attacks, soldiers at risk for blast injury or patients suffering from chronic neurodegenerative diseases would also benefit from enhanced neuronal survival based upon the techniques and compositions disclosed herein. In addition, protecting against cell death by, for example, interfering with PAR polymer signaling via the compositions and processes disclosed herein, offers new therapeutic strategies for the treatment of neurologic disorders.
